AGGENDA ======= Febuary 8, 1990 6:36 PM -VERSION 1.00- **NEW WITH UPDATES INCLUDED IN VERSION 1.20** Aggenda is a tool that I hope you will find useful. As of version 1.20 it allows you to organize and store appointments and reminders. It will also allow you to maintain a phone book and names and phone numbers. Initially, the project was started so that I'd have an organizational system that duplicated what I can do on the wonderful Atari PortFolio. Because Aggenda can be set up to easily access external applications with a single mouse click, you can access PortFolio files (via Interlink, Flash pĻ„ŽĻ‡„ˆBOŽ‰Ļˆ ‚Ļ‚ˆ€€‚Ļƀ‚OŽ‚O€‰Ļ‡„€ ĀOŽ‰šp€‚€ŽˆOˆ‚ˆOƀ‚O„O€‚‚‚BOĄ@Ļˆ„€OƒˆOž‰ŽO™ˆ€ĄšpšpƒˆO„ ‰Ļ„ˆĻž‰ŽO‚Oˆ‚‚ˆ ĻƒŽO€O‰€O€ƒĻ„ƒ‚ˆOƒŽĻ€šp„‰Ļ‚O„Œ€Ļ‡„ˆ ‚ˆ@ĻĻ’HOŽOŒ‚OŒˆ‚ˆĻ‚ĻŽƒˆ‚ O‰ˆŽ„@špœO‚Ļ‡€ĻĄĻ€OŽĻƒˆO„ O€Ļƒˆ Apple Macintosh-- it does the job but does it in style. A number of other commands forces the redraw as well. -File Menu- The file menu contains a single command : Quit. This saves any changes and exits. -Setup Menu- Here we find a number of setup options. [Setup Paths] allows you to setup the path to Aggenda files, and paths to external applications. Choosing this option brings up a dialog box and clicking on any dialog button brings up the file selector. If a path has been previously set, the file selector will display the previously saved path and application, if applicable. [Setup Icon Names] allows you to assign names to the external applications icons on the Aggenda desktop. [Setup Monthly View] is an option to change the way Aggenda will highlight those days that have been previously set up with appointments. The dialog box that pops up presents you with a number of choices-- choose one to suit your personal taste. *The other items in this menu are not active in this version.* -PortFolio Menu- [Export to DIARY.DRY] will write your schedule file in a format that the Atari PortFolio's Diary application can read. [Export to ADDRESS.ADR] will write your phone file in a format that the atari PortFolio's Address Book application can read. Area codes in phone numbers are included and work numbers are printed on the second line with the string "At Work : " preceding them. [Import from DIARY.DRY] will merge any appointments not already in your Aggenda scheduler into the Aggenda from the DIARY.DRY file. Aggenda will ignore the "repeat" messages that can be set up in the Portfolio. [Import from ADDRESS.ADR] will merge any phone numbers not already in your Aggenda phone file from the ADDRESS.ADR file. Be careful. Aggenda will import the file properly only if the format is correct. Here are the rules to respect if you want the imported file to appear correctly in Aggenda : -Last name first with a blank and the first name following. -Aggenda then looks for the phone number on the same line and parses the phone number by looking for the "-" sign. For the number to be read in correctly, it should include the area code in parentheses "()". -Any second number should appear on any one of the following lines. example... Smith John (514) 123-4567 blah blah blah (514) 123-4567 blah blahblah The second number can appear ANYWHERE except the first line. Any lines not containing a phone number will be placed into Aggenda's comments field. *Note : When importing, the PortFolio files must be in the path specified as the Aggenda path in the Setup Paths menu. Likewise, any PortFolio files being exported will be written to this path. I plan on updating Aggenda with any mods that will prove useful. The only way I can possibly know what to improve, is if people write me. Aggenda is FREEWARE but if you can spare a moment, drop me a line or a note! P.S. The GFA file is saved in PSAVE format which mean it is hidden. If you would like the source code, I ask for nothing more than a letter from you. Thanks.
