 What's New?

Beginning with version 2.0 NetCom now supports updating for networks of
any type (multi-group or single group). NetCom is quite flexible and has
many features, such as :

(1) Send out any file over the network (network file or not).
(2) Retrieve a file from remote nodes.
(3) Pull down menus.

Unlike NetCom 2.0, NetCom 2.1+ now supports encryption for those of you
who like security in their programs. The draw back to this, is that there
is now a new DE4.EXE file. Instructions on how to get that out over the
network without screwing things over are in the NETCOM22.DOC file.
Also, NetCom has many command line options, and a little macro language.
Allowing you send out updates and files in one simple DOS command.

 What's Next?

So, I lied again. O.k. the macro langauge and all is still the same
with NetCom 2.2 as it was with 2.1. The only thing is that in 2.2 there are
some major bugs fixed (errors such as stupid-programming-and-hamrless-to-your-
network errors). NetCom 2.3?
Possibly DE257, 258 etc.. support. Doubtful. Perhaps. CALLOUT.NET support?
I don't know. Maybe. I think for 2.3 I'm going to have a seperate program
which is a simplistic version of NetCom, the advantage to the smaller one
is that it will be able to be ran remotely (don't try it with NETCOM.EXE,
trust me, I wrote it, I know). :)

 Registering NetCom

Using NetCom , if you are not registered, you will notice there are a few
features missing from it. There is a small registration fee which will enable
access to these features. Plus with registering NetCom you will be able to
give your GC's and/or AC's the same copy and they too will be allowed to send
out updates (with the appropriate password you select).
The cost of registration for NetCom has been rasied to $15. If you
registered 2.1 or lower, you will have to pay the $5 difference to get a
registered copy of 2.2.

To register v2.2 please send $15 (add $5 if you want me to mail you a copy) to :
