IGM Utility: Pawn Shop Player Database Editor (ShopEdit)

ShopEdit v1.00 -- Official release was done on 12/02/2006.
** Official distribution done on 12/04/2006.

This utility program was created by Donald Tidmore.
ShopEdit is based upon the Chasware LPEdit utility.

Section 1: SHOPEDIT USAGE NOTES:
------------------------------------------------------------
  1) Obtain copy of the SHOPED10.ZIP archive. Primary
distribution sources are my Castle Camelot, Camelot
LordNews FDN web-sites. Along with NighfallGames.com
web-site, the Fidotel BBS's LORD archives files area,
and Mike Ehlert's BBS Archives web-site.

  2) Unzip all files from SHOPED10.ZIP into your IGM directory,
     using overwrite mode.  E.g.:  pkunzip -n SHOPED10.zip

  3) Change into the PawnShop IGM directory. Verify you have
a current PAWNPLAY.DAT file. If you don't, then you can't
     use SHOPEDIT.EXE.

The player database only tracks ONE day of IGM use. Once
PSETUP Maintenance has run, you will no longer have a player
database until someone enters the IGM. Therefore, don't try
to use SHOPEDIT without an PAWNPLAY.DAT file.

  4) The first time you run the utility, it will ask you for
the path to the PawnShop IGM directory. Type it in, and
press ENTER to exit the dialog box prompt. SHOPEDIT.CFG
file will be created in that directory.

  5) Run SHOPEDIT.EXE. If a config file is not in the directory
you run it from, it will ask you to create on - as noted
above. If config file is found, it then checks for existence
of PAWNPLAY.DAT file. If one is not found, program will
give error message and quit working.

SHOPEDIT has only one screen of data. It shows database
fields in the order they are listed in the player database
record structure (usually). Each value, with one exception,
may be set to any value that is valid for it.

The Lord Player Number field is display-only. That is because
I don't see any valid reason to allow users to fiddle around
     the LORD Player Number field.

  6) When you exit SHOPEDIT, it will resave the PAWNPLAY.DAT
file so that any changes you made will be accessible to
the IGM. End of Notes for SHOPEDIT usage.
