Hello and welcome to the new and exciting world of AccessNet!
AccessNet is a relatively new net-mail network (Est. 4/10/91) that is
comprised of both adult and non-adult conferences or channels. Conferences will
be referred to as channels...

For a complete list of all channels see ACCESSNT.LST
Also - Please check with The ACCESS Network (Home of AccessNet) for
the latest ACCNETxx.ZIP file. There may have been additions to the
channels... The number is (518) 283-5716.

The purpose for creating AccessNet was simple! We believe that participating
in net-mail should be one of the most fun and exciting parts of BBS'g! There
are many net-mail networks out there that are a nightmare to deal with! From
the obnoxious to the primadanas, SysOps who don't care enough about their
supporting Nodes. Without the necessary support, setting up and maintaining a
net-mail system can be a frustrating task. We, however, care about each and
every participating BBS - whether they are a Node, Hub, or a Regional Hub!
There are NO fees or dues that are required to become an AccessNet SysOp outside
the current $50.00 for the PostLink software.

AccessNet has 42 channels that are for "everyone" and 13 "adult" channels
that are available to adults only! Having a total of 56 channels is certainly
not set in stone. We encourage all SysOps involved with AccessNet to make make
suggestions for any new channels. A vote will decide whether or not the
channels should be added. By being an AccessNet SysOp, you have the right to
decide which channels you wish to carry! The exception, unfortunately, are
those SysOps who are younger than 18. Those who are not 18 years of age may not
carry the adult channels.

We use PostLink software exclusively. Postlink currently costs $50.00 and
may be purchased from either Larry Miller of The ACCESS Network (518-283-5716)
or by contacting Bonnie Anthony of The Running Board BBS in Maryland...
PostLink is probably the most versitile and user-friendly net-mail system
available! It is set up as a door on your BBS... Not as a front door! Upon
connecting with a BBS - one should not have to "hit escape" to log on! Most
people who are calling a board are calling to utilize the BBS...NOT to transfer
mail. As an internal door, PostLink will never annoy your users! Other
features of PostLink include: the ability to send and request files, manage
and maintain all mail transfers automatically, a built in communications program
that can write your logon scripts, automatically allows the handling of private
mail without lengthy security ID's that have no meaning, all Sites have the
ability to be a HUB built into the software!, allows you to add your BBS's
Tagline, and many many other useful and needed features. PostLink was written
by Kip Compton, author of PCRelay, for use by PCBoard BBS software; HOWEVER,
there are many UTI drivers available for many different types of BBS software.
As a result, we have a very diverse group of SysOps that relay AccessNet.
