========================= C 6 4 E M U L A T O R ========================= This "C64 Emulator" was written for April Fools day of 1988. It's designed to let you fool your friends (however briefly) into thinking your Amiga is a C64. I had quite a bit of fun with this at that time, because I have both a C64 and Amiga, and I've also written a fairly good "Amiga ball" demonstration for the C64. With both of them running at the same time, people get very confused :-) Anyway, load the program by typing C64 from the CLI or click on the icon from workbench. Once loaded, you are presented with the C64 startup screen, and you can type in commands. The C64's usual editing facilities are available: The cursor keys move the cursor, F10 homes the cursor, F20 clears the screen and DEL inserts characters at the current cursor position. All the other function keys are mapped to some of the commands available. The emulator knows about quite a few of the standard C64 commands - try out your favourites. Modifying the commands and error messages merely requires you to edit the commands.c file appropriately, and recompile. Eddy Carroll ecarroll@cs.tcd.ie
