DX Voice Filer (C) 1986 Jack Deckard All Rights Reserved DX Voice Filer is in the Public Domain. Feel free to pass it around. If you find this program useful, send $10.00 or whatever you can afford to the address at the end of this message and help me finance a 2 megabyte memory board for my Amiga. Instructions: Your DX synth must be set to receive MIDI information on channel one. Also System Info Available must be enabled and Internal Memory Protect must be turned off. Consult your DX manual on how to do this. Only 32 voice format MIDI data transfers are supported by this program. To dump your voices from your DX to your Amiga you need to follow the instruction in your manual for bulk voice data dumps. This entails, on the DX7, turning Internal Voice Data Protect off, pressing the Function mode switch, changing the MIDI channel to 1, enabling System Info Avail, and then pressing the YES button at the Function Control MIDI Transmit Prompt on your DX7. Dumps for DX21s and DX100s are simillar. The filer program is constantly scanning for dumps. After you receive the voice data you are prompted for a name to save the file under, on disk. You may abort the save to disk by either pressing return at the prompt (no name entered), or pressing the ESC key. To load the voice data files from disk into Amiga memory and send them to your DX, select Amiga to DX menu option. You will be prompted for the file name on disk. Again simply pressing return or ESC aborts this operation. After the file is loaded from disk, it is automaticly sent to your DX. Note, make sure Internal Menory Protect is turned off and System Info Avail is enabled if you get an error. Please send and donations to Jack Deckard 3808 Laguna Drive Columbus, OH 43232 Thank you.
