This is disk 0b (disk 0 has been split into disk 0a and disk 0b) of the freely distributable AMIGA software library. Because the current library has grown so large, it is no longer cost effective to distribute a printed catalog. Therefore, the catalog disks replace the printed catalog, and will be updated at each new release of disks to reflect the current state of the library. There is no duplication fee for the catalog disks. To receive the latest available catalog disks at any time, simply return the original disks, or send the appropriate number of blank disks, to: Fred Fish Catalog disk update 1835 East Belmont Drive Tempe, Arizona 85284 USA Please enclose a preaddressed mailing label to affix to our return mailing envelope, and sufficient postage for 3 ounces First Class mail (currently 65 cents). Note that you can always obtain the latest catalog disks automatically by following the above procedure but specifying that you want the disks to be held until the next update. The catalog disks currently support two different ways of getting information about disks in the library. First of all, on catalog disk 0a, there are copies of all the README.listXX (or Contents) files, containing description of disk XX's contents. Second, on disk 0b, there is a nice little disk cataloging program called dirmaster, under directory "DirMaster" naturally, that manipulates a data base of the disks, allowing you to quickly find any file or directory on any disk currently in the library. If you are completely new to the Amiga and haven't seen any of the library disks before, you will probably want to explore the README-FILES. If you are looking for a particular file, directory, or program, try DirMaster. Enjoy. -Fred
