............................................................................. Las Vegas Craps is a SHAREWARE product. ............................................................................. Las Vegas Craps is freely distributable to bulletin boards and other private parties only if this 'README' file is included in the distribution. The program may not be duplicated or utilized in order to further any commercial aspirations without the expressed, written consent of the author. Also, no subprogram of Las Vegas Craps may be altered in any way. ............................................................................. A private individual may become a registered user of Las Vegas Craps by mail- ing a $20 fee to the below listed address. When developed, users will be en- titled to a free update of the program which will include hard drive support and certain other enhancements. A $25 fee will entitle a user to a laser- printed manual which will be mailed ASAP. Your registration fee will contribute to the development of future programs which will be designed to further the Amiga as THE computer of the future. (And, to partially compensate for the many hours which went into development of this software.) Mail registration fees to: Art Tedeschi 4506 Osceola St. Denver, CO 80212 Phone: 303 477-5223 ............................................................................. BUGS: The program has been under test for over a year, and there are no known bugs. But if you do find one, please let me know. ............................................................................. If you're interested, the program was developed and compiled with the Lattice C Compiler, Version 5.1. An emphasis was placed on maintaining efficient memory usage and executable file size (thus the outboard sub-files), and speed optimization was utilized at every opportunity. ............................................................................. USAGE NOTES: As noted above, Las Vegas Craps makes extensive use of disk- resident files in order to maintain efficient memory usage. In order to access the "strat" directory (to load sample strategy files and store your own), the program will search for the 'strat' directory in the root of df0: or df1: (you may wish to make a separate data disk for the strats). The other files (digitized sound) will be expected to be found in the same directory as the "Craps" executable; therefore, it is suggested that all of the pro- gram files be placed on a formatted disk with all files placed in the disk's root directory (including the 'strat' directory). A batch file, Execute.Me is included to place all the sample 'strat' files into a 'strat' directory. The program will run on a 512k Amiga, but if you wish to multitask (by pressing L-Amiga 'N'), more memory will be required. If you notice problems with the program on a 512k Amiga, you may have to squeeze more memory out of your computer by eliminating other memory-resident programs (i.e., 'resident' shell commands, etc.). If that doesn't work, simply copy the program onto a bootable disk including only the Workbench 'l', libs, and devs directories. 'Install' the disk, boot it, and at the AmigaDos prompt, simply type 'Craps'. Art Tedeschi
