------------------- TREK-TRIVIA 2.0 ------------------- The Shareware concept: --------------------- This is a Shareware game. What this basically means is that you get to try the software before you buy it. The author will usually request a "registration fee" which makes you an authorized user of the product. It also entitles you to information on future updates, revisions, bug fixes or any other things that the author offers. The honor system is used here. If you don't like the product or it is not what you thought it was or you are in any way dissatisfied with it then do NOT send any registration fees. This is the best way to tell a Shareware author that you are not happy with a product. Believe me, we'll get the message! On the other hand, if you use and enjoy the product then you should send in the requested registration fee. I have made a point of keeping the requested Shareware price as small as possible. My goal is to produce quality, SUPPORTED software at a reasonable price. The Game: -------- The game contains full instructions on how to play, so I won't go into them here. I'll simply tell you about the new features that version 2.0 has to offer. I can honestly say that this version would NOT have been created if it was not for the success of the first version, and I would like to thank all the users who supported the first version. NEW FEATURES: ------------ 1. Cheat mode: You can now play in cheat mode and get the answer to a question by clicking the left mouse button on the cheat box. 2. Selectable Skill Levels: You can now select a skill level to play by. EXPERT or NOVICE. In NOVICE mode you can miss 10 questions instead of 3, before the game is over. 3. Digitized Music: Version 2.0 features over 20 themes from the T.V. series. A Star Trek theme song will play before each question, and add atmosphere to the game. NOTE: If you received a copy of the game without the sound files, from a BBS or any other location, they can be obtained by ordering ANY volume of Trek Trivia, or by registering the original copy and asking for the files. 4. The game is now playable from the CLI or the WorkBench. Insert the disk at the WorkBench screen and click on it's icon to play the game, or type "TT-V#" at the CLI, where then "#" is the number of the game. (e.g. 1-10). Finally, feel free to distribute this game anywhere, Users groups, BBS's, friends, Shareware libraries, overseas etc. Shareware contributions, comments or anything else can be sent to: Micro F/X Software P.O.
