WHAT'S NEW IN TRACKPRO PC V1.1D?

1) First, no more lengthy delays upon starting the program!

2) Two new options have been added to the Options Menu.
    These are:

        Data Entry Mode Options
        Adjust Race Number

You can now select the Data Entry Mode you wish to use,
either Starts-1sts-2nds-3rds or Universal Rating for the
Driver, Trainer and Horse from within the program. There is
no need to exit the program, run the setup program TPSETUP,
and then re-start TrackPro PC to change data entry modes.

Note that there are two data entry options for the Horse
    now. These are:

        Starts-1sts-2nds-3rds (as before)
        UHR or Win Percentage

While it is unlikely that a UHR (Universal Horse Rating) is
printed on your racing form, the Horse's Starts, 1st, 2nd
& 3rd place finishes will invariably appear, and also, many
    forms print a win percentage.

The win percentage is a less accurate reflection of the
Horse's standings in the finish circle, since it reflects
only the 1st place finishes, but this option will expidite
data entry for those who prefer to use it.

Race number can now be adjusted from the Options Menu.
The race number is not used internally by TrackPro PC, and
has been provided strictly for the benefit of the user.
However, this race number is now stored in the TrackPro
    Results file.

Whenever you save your data to a TrackPro Results file, the
race number is saved with the race data, and, when you
later re-load this file, the races will be numbered
according to the filed race numbers.

TrackPro PC will still read your existing Results files
made with the shareware distribution version. For these
files, since the race number is not stored in the TrackPro
Results file, then when you re-load these files, the races
will be numbered sequentially, starting at 1.

3) Another factor has been added to the Handicap Analysis
    calculations - the Endurance Factor.

The Endurance Factor requires no additional data entry.
It is derived from the Finish Time and Last Quarter Time
    entries.

An Average Quarter Time is derived by quartering the Finish
Time. A horse whose Last Quarter is better than his Average
Quarter will gain points on the Time Scores, while one
whose Last Quarter is slower than his Average Quarter will
lose points on his Time Scores.

Thus a horse that can "pour it on" during the final quarter
will score higher time scores than one who is tiring and
slowing in the final quarter even if their finish times are
    identical.

4) TrackPro V1.0D has a minor flaw in the Post Position
forfeit calculations. Actually, I discovered after the
Shareware version V1.0D was released that this calculation
was missing from the program code. If you have experimented
with the post position factor, you may have noticed that
the new settings had no effect on the result scores.

This has been corrected. Unfavourable starting positions
will now reflect a reduced score.

5) The "TrackPro Selections" display has been revised so that
in the event of a scratch or a substitution, the top three
contenders are displayed by their post position as listed
in your racing form. The Shareware version V1.0D would
display their updated starting position as the TrackPro
Selections, however, they would retain their listed post
    position in the Results Window.

Additionally, in the event of a substitution, you are now
prompted to enter the post position of the replacement
contender. This new post position is then used should the
new contender become a TrackPro Selection.

This minimizes any confusion when wagering, since the
listed post position number is always used for wagering.

6) In calculating the UDR/UTR/UHR from the Starts, 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place finishes, the Shareware version V1.0D would
sometimes differ from the listed UDR or UTR by 1 in the
    least significant digit.

The Universal Rating as listed in your racing form is
rounded up to 3 significant decimal places. TrackPro PC
V1.0D truncated the calculated Universal Rating to 3
significant decimal places. This resulted in a difference
of 1 if rounding up causes the least signifant digit to
    increase by 1.

To be consistent TrackPro PC V1.1D now rounds up to 3
significant decimal places, so that the calculated rating
is always the same as the listed rating.
