    Short Description:
    ------------------

A program to predict the most favorable times to hunt and fish
based on the position and phase of the moon as well as the time
of day for any location in the Continental United States.

    Long Description:
    -----------------

Since the earliest times man has been aware of a cyclic pattern
associated with his success in hunting and fishing. Over the
years he has observed a relationship between feeding and
activity patterns of fish and game and the phases of the moon.
This is not to say that there are not many other factors such as
temperature, barometric pressure and others but all serious
hunters and fishermen will agree that this lunar relationship is
real and important. It is for this reason that many publications
print probability graphs or Over/Under time tables to help you
determine the most productive hunting and fishing times.

The program FISHTIME has been written to evaluate not only the
moon's phases but also its position in the sky including its
North South travels during a lunar month as it orbits the earth.
It allows you to do this for any date after January 1st, 1980
and for any location in the continental United States. In
addition, it includes the effects involving the time of day such
as dawn and twilight which have always played an important part
in the feeding patterns of fish and game.

FISHTIME produces a graphic display of fishing conditions for
the selected date(s) or will display or print a list of prime
hunting and fishing times for the dates selected.
