The HALT typeface I have created is an all capital letter,
somewhat futuristic type design. I have included both HP Laserjet
files and matching screen font files for use with Ventura.

To use this typeface with Ventura, just copy all the printer font
files (*.SFP), the screen font files (*.EGA) and the width table
(HALT.WID) to the subdirectory with your other printer files
(most likely /VENTURA). Then, from within Ventura, merge the
width table provided using the Font Add/Delete under the Options
Menu. That's all there is to it. No messing with the VFM files,
etc.

My objective is to create typefaces that are not normally
commercially available and offer them to the public at a price
that anyone should be able to afford and still give me the
incentive to keep on making more. The more public response I get,
the more time I will devote to producing them.

This package contains the following point sizes:

     14, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48, 60

And includes printer and screen fonts for the following
characters:

     ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890!#$%&*()-_=+;:'",./?

Ventura Users - If you happen to be using other custom typefaces
with Ventura, each typeface needs to have a unique FONT ID. I
assigned HALT to number 131 since it did not fit into any other
category. If you happen to have another font using this FONT ID,
you will have to set up a new width table (using HPLTOVFM and
VFMTOWID) assigning a new ID. Also, you must change the first
byte in each screen font to the ID you selected. The first bit of
each screen font now is 83h (Decimal 131). So, for example, if
you wanted to assign it to FONT ID equal to 203, just replace the
83H with CBh. Ventura will accept values from 15-255 decimal, but
below 128 decimal most are already assigned to other standard
typefaces. Check Appendix K for more details.

These fonts are shareware and I have uploaded them to the public
boards in order that you may try them. If they serve your purpose
and you continue to use them, please send a $25.00 donation and
any suggestions for typefaces you would like to see available to
the address listed below.

For those that send in the donation, I will also make available
any other sized font (with matching screen font) that you may
wish, plus any updates or additions I have made on that font
since you uploaded it. Also, I will make available matching
bitmap, stroke or curvilinear fonts for use directly with Z-
Soft's Paintbrush family (including Publisher's Paintbrush).

As soon as the update for the font design software I am using
arrives (Z-Soft's Type Foundry), screen fonts will be made
available for Windows (therefore usable with PageMaker, etc.)

Thank you for your support ...
