                          WELCOME TO vTOOLS!

You are about to unpack the files for the Shareware version of
the vTOOLS developer's tool kit for Vulcan.

The vTOOLS files CANNOT be unpacked from a copy of VTOOLS.EXE on
a diskette drive with less than 1.2Mb capacity. In any case, there are
several large files, so you may wish to move the archive (VTOOLS.EXE)
to an empty directory before proceeding.

After the files have been unpacked, type MANUAL<Enter> at the DOS prompt
to view or print the documentation. The Emerald Bay database engine must
be resident before you attempt to run VTUTIL.EXE (a compiled Vulcan
program containing several of the vTOOLS utilities).

Note that VTUTIL requires the best part of 512K system memory, so
you may get a "no memory" error if you have any resident programs. If
that happens, unload the resident programs before starting VTUTIL.
