SYMPTOMS
========

When an Updatable Query created through the Query Wizard in FoxPro version
2.6 for MS-DOS is modified through the Query Wizard, the following error
message is produced:

   NOTE <query.fpq> has been modified outside of the Query Wizard.
   The Query Wizard can no longer be used to modify this query.

This message occurs even though the user has not modified the query file.

Steps to Reproduce  Problem
---------------------------

1. Start FoxPro version 2.6 for MS-DOS, and proceed to the Catalog Manager.

2. Select the Table folder tab, and select any table (.DBF file).

3. Choose the Use button.

4. Select the Query folder tab, and choose New.

5. Select Query Wizard, and then select Updatable Query.

6. Develop a query using the table you first selected.

7. Save the Query. The screen returns to the Catalog Manager's Query
   folder.

8. Select the query you just built.

9. Choose Modify.

The error message appears in a modal dialog window. This problem does
not occur in FoxPro version 2.6a for MS-DOS or in FoxPro version 2.6 or
2.6a for Windows.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro version 2.6 for
MS-DOS. This problem has been corrected in FoxPro version 2.6a for MS-DOS.
