"UNDER A KILLING MOON" COMING SOON TO A PC NEAR YOU

March 11, 1994 -- Until now, "interactive movies" have consisted of little
more than film clips stored on CD-ROM. The player's decisions dictate
which film clip comes up for viewing, but there is little or no sensation
of actually being in the program.

That is about to change, and change dramatically, with the release of the
first truly interactive movie: Access Software's Under a Killing Moon, the
third game set in the gritty but fascinating future world of detective Tex
Murphy ( Mean Streets and The Martian Memorandum).

After viewing a rough cut of this product, a well-known game reviewer
wrote: "Lots of products claim to 'push the envelope', but Access's new
technology blows it to smithereens!"

To achieve unprecedented you-are-there-realism, Access developed processes
which generate 3-D virtual reality environments of astonishing depth,
texture, and believability. When the game is in it's first-person mode,
you can explore rooms and streets, and examine objects, with complete,
360-degree freedom. You can walk through a room, peer under the tables,
climb up on a desk to get a better view; the texture-mapped graphics are
so detailed that you can walk over to the wall where Tex hangs his diploma
and read the fine print.

Access's production team developed their own proprietary engine -based in
part on what they had learned from developing the bestselling Links 386
Pro golf simulations -- and wrote the entire game in assembly language for
maximum performance. New compress/decompression techniques were also
developed, and the 16-bit sound and music will run at 22 KHz throughout!

To further enhance the illusion of being IN a movie, Access hired three top
Hollywood pros to play the major third-person roles: Margot Kidder, Brian
Keith, and Russell Means. The game-player not only gets to explore a
"virtual world", he or she also experiences the excitement of interacting
with real stars.

Rarely has any PC game been anticipated so eagerly by so many.

Under a Killing Moon, the ultimate interactive entertainment experience, is
available on THREE CD-ROM discs and is expected to be in stores by Spring
1994 The suggested retail price is $99.95.

Access Software is in its eleventh year of producing high quality, award
winning, entertainment software.
