E Ware Ships 'eNote for cc:Mail' Front-End Messaging Software

New York, New York, April 25, 1994 - E Ware, a division of Visual
Cybernetics Corporation, today began shipping a cc:mail version of its
popular messaging software, eNote. eNote for cc:Mail acts as a front-end
to Lotus Development Corporation's cc:Mail electronic mail package. For
the first time, cc:Mail users can filter important messages and route them
directly to the screen. eNote for cc:Mail is one of the first PC-based
E-mail product to offer text-to-speech capability.

eNote for cc:Mail makes E-mail easy-to-use and more effective. cc:Mail
users will benefit from using eNote for cc:Mail, even if they are the
first to use eNote in their workgroup. Opening cc:Mail is not required and
there is no need to leave the application currently in use. Messages are
easily created using eNote's floating control panel. eNote uses cc:Mail as
the carrier and messages can be sent instantly to any individual or group
found in the cc:Mail directory. If received by someone using only cc:Mail,
the message will be stored like any other in the mailbox.

eNote for cc:Mail users will have many delivery options. eNote takes
advantage of cc:Mail's filtering ability, enabling the user to screen
messages by user name, priority or subject. Filter settings give users
control over which messages eNote delivers to the screen and which are
stored in the mailbox. When both sender and recipient are eNote for
cc:Mail users, E-mail communications between the two users are faster. In
this scenario, eNote-specific data, like sound and voice files, can be
attached to the message.

eNote's new text-to-speech feature makes electronic messaging even more
convenient. eNote for cc:Mail is one of the first PC-based E-mail
application to include BeSTspeech T-T-S text-to-speech conversion
technology from Berkeley Speech Technologies, Inc. Users can now choose to
have their messages read aloud.

With eNote for cc:Mail's text-to-speech feature, recipients can tell the
software to read their eNote messages aloud. The talking feature makes
electronic messaging even more convenient.

"The combination of cc:Mail's filtering and eNote's pop-up messaging
ensures that critical messages are delivered instantly to the recipient's
screen," said Joseph T. DiMauro, president of Visual Cybernetics. "eNote
for cc:Mail strengthens the accessibility, ease-of-use and efficient
delivery critical to the effectiveness of any E-mail application."

"Including text-to-speech capability in eNote for cc:Mail is our first step
toward making eNote a true multimedia messaging product," DiMauro added.

eNote for cc:Mail is similar in features to eNote version 2.0. Among the
similar features are group messaging, drag and drop operations, folders, a
spell checker, context searching, and DDE support. eNote also supports
multimedia by allowing users to add .WAV sound files to their written
messages.

eNote for cc:Mail is available as a single-user add-on with a $59 suggested
retail price. Software for a second user will be included free for a
limited time. Additional licensing packs are available for $33 per user. E
Ware sells the software directly, as well as through its growing network
of VARs and distributors.
