WINDOWS VERSION OF 4SITE SUPPORTS TRUE OPEN SYSTEMS OPERATIONS

Integrated Image Processing System Runs on Any Hardware/Software Platform
Regardless of Operating System or Processor Type

NEW YORK, April 19, 1994 -- 4i Solutions, Inc. a leading supplier of image
processing software for host-based systems applications, introduced a
Windows version of 4Site (Seamless Integration TEchnique) at the 1994 AIIM
Show here today. 4Site for Windows provides expanded features and
increased performance benefits that make it easier for data processing
users to implement image enabled business applications within
client/server or host-based environments.

The Windows version of 4Site incorporates the same operations and
functionality as the DOS-based version but provides greater flexibility
under the Windows operating system via a DDE link between Windows-based
programs and the 4Site software. Any Windows DDE emulator application or
any host-based data processing application can be seamlessly integrated
without extensive program modifications or system performance degradation.
Using an existing application's database manager, access methods and
security procedures, 4Site for Windows enables users to view image data as
well as non-image data on a single workstation.

4Site image-enables applications running on any hardware platform and under
any operating system. Applications can be written in any programming
language. Image viewing, scanning, printing and faxing are controlled and
directed by existing host-resident or client/server data processing
applications.

"4i Solutions is committed to providing our customers with leading-edge
image enabling technology for their business applications," said Douglas
J. Russo, 4i Solutions' executive vice president and chief operating
officer. "The new 4Site for Windows represents our continued product
research and development efforts that respond to customer requirements to
maximize the benefits available from integrating imaging into their
business operations."

According to Khoi M. Turner, the firm's vice president of product
development, 4Site for Windows incorporates several features that make it
easier for users to control and access image processing functions without
interrupting the host application. "For example, our "intuitive" graphical
user interface employs icons and other visual control objects with on-line
help menus to simplify imaging operations. In addition, we've included a
comprehensive suite of host-based functions (remote procedures) in order
to reduce complex and tedious imaging functions to a single remote
procedure call," Turner said.

4Site's install procedure is intuitive and text-based. Minimum memory
required is 8 MB. Documentation is user-friendly and features an on-line
help menu. In addition, 4i Solutions' technical support hotline and
bulletin board is available for downloading software updates and customer
assistance.

4Site for Windows is now available through 4i Solutions' reseller network.
Pricing is determined by resellers who seamlessly integrate 4Site's
imaging functions with their new or existing application software
products.

Established in 1991, 4i Solutions, Inc. is a privately-held company that
designs, develops and markets a family of image-based software products
that is sold to all industries through its worldwide independent reseller
and systems integrator channel.
