Welcome to Loader Creator Version 3.0!
There are MANY new features in this version.
First, there are [Pc 246,63,54,54]MORE EFFECTS, So you can
use various sweeps instead of just fades to display and blank
 the image.
Also, there are some text effects, So the text screen can fade
 out or slide right etc...
Another new feature is [Pc 245,63,63,54]MUSIC![M 1] You can now include
a PIANOMAN file to play in the background. The music can be turned [Tc 90]on[Tc 15]/[Tc 23]off[Tc 15]
or reset from the text string.[M 0]
Like Version 1.0 this version has color cylcling, but you can turn it
on and off from the text string. Let's turn on a range.[Cd 1,0]
 Ok, now let's reverse it,[Cd 1,1] and slow it down a bit.[Cs 1,10]
............But that's only 1 range, how 'bout we turn on 14 more!
[Cd 2,0]
[Cd 3,1]
[Cd 4,0]
[Cd 5,1]
[Cd 6,0]
[Cd 7,1]
[Cd 8,0]
[Cd 9,1]
[Cd 10,0]
[Cd 11,1]
[Cd 12,0]
[Cd 13,1]
[Cd 14,0]
Up to [Pc 244,63,63,54]16 RANGES can be cycled at once.......Now let's turn them all off.
[Cd 1,2]
[Cd 2,2]
[Cd 3,2]
[Cd 4,2]
[Cd 5,2]
[Cd 6,2]
[Cd 7,2]
[Cd 8,2]
[Cd 9,2]
[Cd 10,2]
[Cd 11,2]
[Cd 12,2]
[Cd 13,2]
[Cd 14,2]
But we can't have our palette messed up like that, so we'll reset the colors
 to their original values.[Pr 0,239]
Now we're into the text scroller features. First of all, there are now
[Pc 243,53,63,54]5 USER FONTS that can optionally be used as well as 3 ROM fonts that are always available.
Let's take a look at them...
 [Tf 0]ROM 8x8
 [Tf 1]ROM 8x14
 [Tf 2]ROM 8x16
 [Tf 3]User 1
 [Tf 4]User 2
 [Tf 5]User 3
 [Tf 6]User 4
 [Tf 7]User 5
But that's not all, any one of the 8 fonts can be DOUBLED, making 16 typefaces in all.
Here's the same 8 fonts, doubled.
[Td 1]
 [Tf 0]ROM 8x8
 [Tf 1]ROM 8x14
 [Tf 2]ROM 8x16
 [Tf 3]User 1
 [Tf 4]User 2
 [Tf 5]User 3
 [Tf 6]User 4
 [Tf 7]User 5
[Td 0]
The User fonts are PC Magazine's FONTEDIT fonts, so any font that you can
get onscreen can be used in Loader Creator 3.0! You can also edit the fonts
with FONTEDIT to create custom symbols, icons, or typefaces.
As you have already seen the color of the text can be set to any solid color
 like this...
 [Tc 23]S[Tc 39]O[Tc 55]L[Tc 71]I[Tc 87]D [Tc 103]C[Tc 119]O[Tc 135]L[Tc 151]O[Tc 167]R [Tc 23]T[Tc 39]E[Tc 55]X[Tc 71]T
[Tc 15]...or to gradient ranges, like this...
 [Ti 8,16]This is Radial
 [Ti 0,1]This is Horizontal
 [Ti 2,48]This is Vertical
 [Ti 6,208]This is Diagonal
[Tc 15]Not only can you set [Pc 242,54,63,63]TEXT COLOR, you can set up to 8 TEXT MASKS.
Let's make a crack in the metal plate, and mask the text behind that...
[Pc 249,0,0,0][Pc 248,0,0,0][Pc 247,0,0,0]
[Tm 249,248,247,277,277,277,277,277]
There, now we have a crack.
[M 0]
Another text scroller feature is the ability to [Pc 241,54,54,63]BOUNCE the text.
Let's start some bouncing.[Tw 1].. Ok, but we're still confined to this
box, let's set the top/bottom limits to the whole screen.
[Tt 0][Tb 165]
Now let's extened the [Pc 240,60,54,63]LEFT and RIGHT edges to whole whole screen...
[Tl 0][Tr 319]
Ok, now let's go back to our metal box......
[Tt 149][Tb 165][Tl 107][Tr 313]
Finaly, the feature that you have been seeing all along, [Pc 239,63,54,63]TEXT CODES.
Text codes are codes you put in your text string (sorta like ANSI escape sequences)
that do things such as... Change the text font or speed, change palette colors,
turn the music [Tc 90]on[Tc 15]/[Tc 23]off[Tc 15], change the text color or masks, change the left/right limits of the text,
blank the screen, or pause the whole loader for a time.
These are just a few of the text codes, see the documentation for a detailed
description of the codes, or the quick reference if you don't like reading docs.
[Cd 15,1]
Well, that's all there is (for now), to get a list of new features as well as some possible future features see the file
WHATS.NEW. To see more examples of what can be done with LC V3.0 see the tutorial/example loaders.
Thanks for looking at the Loader Creator 3.0 demo!
