UNISYS ANNOUNCES AQUANTA FAMILY OF CUSTOMIZED PCs

BUSINESSES NOW BENEFIT FROM THE END OF THE IMPERSONAL PERSONAL COMPUTER --
A NEW "WAVE" OF SERVERS, DESKTOPS AND NOTEBOOKS TAILORED TO UNIQUE
BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

NEW YORK, NY - MAY 13, 1996 -- The Unisys Personal Computer Division (PCD)
today announced the Aquanta family of personal computer products, offering
businesses worldwide cost-effective, customized computing. The Aquanta
PCs, which sport a distinctive "wave" design, were unveiled today at the
Hudson Theatre, New York City.

During the past two years, customers have recognized tremendous improvement
in time to market, quality and custom features of the personal computer
line. "We continue to be impressed with the quality and support," said
Martin Wild of Bass Taverns, a Unisys customer in the United Kingdom. "The
Unisys Build-To-Customer-Order, or BTCO, process has saved us hundreds of
hours of time because the PCs arrive fully loaded and configured, ready to
put to work."

The PC or server is built by one person, resulting in one of the highest
arrival quality rates in the industry exceeding 98%. Next, the customized
operating system is preloaded and the system is extensively tested prior
to shipping. As a result, Unisys is able to provide new software and
hardware options as soon as they are made available. For example, Unisys
was one of the first to ship PCs with Windows 95 and IBM OS/2 Warp
Connect, as well as Pentium Pro systems.

Unisys has been successful by offering pre-loaded software options in
modular notebooks, diskless clients, desktops, mini-towers, dual/quad
servers, and rackmount servers to a high volume, business to business
market. 1995 PC sales increased 74%.

"The Aquanta products enable customers to order products specific to their
needs and rely on truly worldwide service and support from Unisys," said
Frank Brandenberg, vice president and general manager of PCD. "We deliver
quality at a competitive cost by leveraging unique manufacturing processes
and working with our partners to offer the latest technology as soon as it
is available."

Unisys incorporates the state-of-the-art technology desired by customers
virtually as components are available. For example, Intel Pentium Pro
processors were available within 25 days of introduction, and PCs were
shipping preloaded with Windows 95 the day of the announcement. In
addition, customers can order PCs configured exactly how they want them
and receive them anywhere in the world in 10 days or less, fully loaded
and ready to plug in.

Industry experts are also impressed with the Aquanta line. "This
announcement has more potential than anything I have heard before from
Unisys," said Richard Zwetchkenbaum, Director, Brand Research,
International Data Corporation. "PCD has a strong possibility of having an
impact for their company on the industry because of this announcement."

BTCO - MAKING IMPERSONAL COMPUTING PERSONAL AGAIN

"Our customers are very large, and still need to remain up-to-date and
competitive -- we had to learn to handle a large volume business one at a
time," said Frank Brandenberg. "Realizing that computers need not be a
commodity, we implemented BTCO, an industry-unique manufacturing process.
This process enables Unisys to ship volume product with preloaded
operating system software, off the shelf and custom application software,
fully configured and based on the customer's specifications."

The customer focus adopted by Unisys has led to several other processes,
including the development of manufacturing software that tracks each order
every hour.

"Our first step was to develop and refine the Build-To-Customer-Order
(BTCO) manufacturing process," said Jose Flahaux, vice president and
general manager of product operations of PCD. "This effort resulted in an
industry leading volume delivery of customer-specified PCs right to our
customer's door, custom configured, ready to use."

MARKETING, SALES, AND SUPPORT STRATEGY

"Our ability to meet customer needs has made us a Gartner Group Recommended
Vendor in less than two years," said Vaughn G. Hysinger, managing director
and vice president of marketing operations of PCD. "Our marketing and
sales strategy is channel adaptive in serving large business and
government customers. We have built in flexibility that focuses on our
direct sales force or any number of high quality channel partners. Thus we
employ the right channel strategy to provide profitable, cost-effective
service to this niche market."

Unisys offers service and support in 114 countries -- far exceeding many of
their direct competitors, which rely heavily on third party service
organizations to support their computer products internationally.
Customers with global operations often require technicians and engineers
available at their operating locations. Unisys is among a handful of
vendors that delivers on truly worldwide service and support.

While the vast majority of the business-to-business success is achieved
through Unisys direct sales, distribution channel partners are growing in
importance in the non-retail market Unisys pursues. One such distributor
is Elek-tek of Chicago. Juan Juarez, manager of configurations, when asked
about Unisys PCs, said: "Unlike other systems, they are easy to
coinfigure. When we take them out of the box, they work. When we run our
tests, they are always the fastest. Plus, they are compatible with most
third party components."
