COMPUTER CITY AND EDS SIGN STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

RELATIONSHIP STRENGTHENS SALES TO CORPORATE CUSTOMERS

Fort Worth, Texas -- Computer City, the computer superstore retail division
of Tandy Corporation (NYSE: TAN), and EDS, the global information services
provider, today announced the signing of a strategic alliance agreement
designed to provide immediate pricing and availability estimates to
corporate customers and mutually leverage Computer City and EDS customer
relationships.

Through this alliance, Computer City, widely recognized for fast-growing
consumer sales and services, now will offer similarly effective services
for corporate customers with the business-to-business support and
expertise of EDS.

Under the terms of the agreement, Computer City will outsource logistics
management to EDS, enabling the installation of an order management system
for Computer City that includes order processing, personal computer (PC)
procurement, and PC integration and distribution services for corporate
customers. In addition to the logistics services, systems provided through
EDS will give Computer City the ability to track and monitor orders more
efficiently.

Leveraging EDS vendor relationships, developing logistics systems and
working with EDS in business development efforts will enable Computer City
to strengthen corporate services capabilities.

"This alliance with EDS will enhance Computer City's position in the
corporate sales arena, while positioning the company for accelerated
growth," said Tandy Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John
V. Roach. "

Establishing a relationship with Computer City will open opportunities for
EDS to leverage Computer City consumer/end-user capabilities," said Bob
Neighbors, president of EDS Client/Server Group Sales and Marketing.

EDS is a leader in the global information services industry. The company's
more than 95,000 employees specialize in applying a range of ideas and
technologies to help business and government customers improve their
economics, products, services and customer relationships. Stock reflecting
EDS' performance is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol
GME. EDS, which operates in 41 countries, reported revenues of $12.42
billion in 1995.

Computer City is North America's pre-eminent computer superstore retailer.
The chain currently operates 101 locations throughout the U.S., Canada and
Europe. During 1995, in only its fourth full year of operation, Computer
City sales exceeded $1.8 billion, making it the second fastest-growing
retailer in history. The company plans to open approximately 15 new stores
in 1996.
