StarWare Becomes StarQuest

Leading IBM database access software developer changes its name to
StarQuest Software, Inc.

BERKELEY, CALIF., MAY 7, 1996 -- StarWare, Inc., a leading developer of
data communications software products for connecting PC and UNIX systems
with IBM systems, today announced its official company name change to
StarQuest Software, Inc.

In addition to the corporate company name change, StarQuest today also
announced StarSQL Pro(, a new version of the company's flagship StarSQL
driver for access to remote IBM databases from ODBC-enabled PC or UNIX
applications.

Headquartered in Berkeley and founded in 1992, the company provides remote
database access, 5250 terminal emulation, file transfer, remote command
execution, remote data queues, and remote print spooling. StarQuest
products are marketed directly by StarQuest and by StarQuest's domestic
