DELIVERS FLEXIBILITY AND EASE OF USE THAT WINDOWS USERS DEMAND

THE ART, announced today that MAS 90 FOR WINDOWS (90/W) will be shipping
during the second quarter of 1996. The latest release of the company's
popular accounting software for growing, medium-size companies
incorporates the heritage of MAS 90's functionality and workflow with the
usability and desktop integration of Microsoft Windows. This first release
of the new product range includes General Ledger, Accounts Payable,
Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation and Library Master.

integration with Windows productivity applications such as Microsoft
Office, and an advanced Microsoft Windows 95 compliant Graphical User

will recognize the same robust accounting features in the new Windows
product that are the trademark of MAS 90. "We have provided a very
seamless Windows migration for current users, and a compelling set of
accounting features that any CPA or reseller would feel comfortable

side, and DOS, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 client workstation
configurations. This flexibility allows existing users of DOS accounting
systems to upgrade their investment to Windows at their own pace, and
delivers the maximum choice of configurations to suit their business
needs.

The successful customization capabilities of the DOS product have also been
enhanced with the new product line. MAS 90 users have always been able to
benefit from the customization service delivered by STATE OF THE ART's
network of Master Developers, and the availability of over 1,000
off-the-shelf enhancements and vertical applications. These facilities are
continued and enhanced for the new product line by the provision of both
Master Developer and end-user customization tools.

EXTENSIVE CAPABILITY IN WINDOWS ACCOUNTING

As STATE OF THE ART's next step in Windows accounting solutions for
medium-size businesses, MAS 90 FOR WINDOWS joins BusinessWorks Version 11,
a Windows-based solution for entry-level accounting needs. Within the
second quarter of 1996, the company will also begin shipping its Acuity
Financials  accounting suite which is a native, 32-bit Microsoft Windows
95 application designed for Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows NT.
By adding this capability for client/server environments, Acuity
Financials rounds out STATE OF THE ART's Windows accounting solutions.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The Library Master of MAS 90 FOR WINDOWS sells for a suggested list price
of $599 for a single user, and $1,499 for up to five users. The major
accounting modules (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, etc.) sell for a
suggested list price of $1,149 each. All five modules of the first release
