7TH LEVEL LAUNCHES DOMINION

THE NEXT GENERATION IN THE #1 ACTION-STRATEGY CATEGORY.

Dallas, TX (April 30, 1996) -- Multimedia developer 7th Level, Inc.
(NASDAQ:SEVL) invades the popular field of action-strategy games with
Dominion, a top-down tactical thriller featuring pre-rendered 3-D
graphics. Players must conquer and colonize the unexplored Phygos System
as one of four powerful species: Humans, Scorps, Darkens or Mercenaries.
Twenty-five increasingly difficult missions offer hours of formidable
gameplay.

Touting the latest in strategic gaming functionality, Dominion offers
players new adrenaline rushes with high-speed combat and addictive
gameplay, in the style of Command & Conquer and WarCraft II. But there's
more.

This next generation of action strategy outfits players with twice the men
and machines of other games, including massive two-, four- and six-legged
bots. Additionally, Dominion stands alone with resolutions up to 1280 X
1024, the sharpest on the market for incredibly ambient movement.

Numerous gameplay options include: head-to-head, modem and network play for
up to eight competitors. The game's Level Editor allows players to create
maps, specify starting conditions and personnel attributes. Players may
also define hot-key combinations to control similar units and individually
defined attack groups.

This interactive overhead CD-ROM game combines Windows 95 and DirectX
technologies with TopGun, 7th Level's proprietary authoring technology, to
create the smoothest animation of any action-strategy game on the market
today. Combined with pulse-pounding audio, Dominion engrosses the player
in an out-of-this-world gaming experience. It is scheduled to ship by late
summer. A sneak preview will be shown at the Electronic Entertainment Expo
(E3) to be held Thursday, May 16 to Saturday, May 18, 1996, in Los
Angeles.

"Dominion will challenge serious, hard-core gamers with its diverse
gameplay and wide array of personnel, structures and vehicles," said
George Grayson, 7th Level's chairman and CEO. "For the gaming newcomer
desiring a test drive, Dominion's opening missions act as tutorials to
guide the way, and ultimately get the player hooked."

The game's designer, Todd Porter, who is also 7th Level's vice president of
3-D games surveys the playing field from the driver's seat.

"Dominion was written by hard-core gamers for hard-core gamers. If you put
the best artists in the world with the best programmers, the result is so
visually appealing and tactically rewarding, that you could easily find
yourself still playing at 2 a.m."
