SCO AND ORACLE ANNOUNCE ORACLE WEBSERVER 2.0 AS PART OF SCO INTERNET
FAMILY

Oracle Webserver 2.0 Provides Secure Open Architecture for SCO Customers
and Web Developers

SANTA CRUZ, CA (APRIL 29, 1996) -- SCO and Oracle Corp. today announced the
availability of Oracle WebServer 2.0 as part of SCO's Internet
Family3/4creating for the first time an integrated Web solution based on
best-of-breed products for standard Intel processor-based machines. By
combining the power and scalability of Oracle WebServer 2.0 with SCO
OpenServer Release 5, the world's leading UNIX server operating system,
Oracle and SCO provide a scalable platform for building secure, dynamic
Web sites and applications for use over corporate Intranets as well as the
public Internet.

"With the availability of this integrated solution, Oracle has truly
addressed the needs of the vast SCO install base as well as new SCO
customers by providing them with a sophisticated solution for information
management on the Internet," said Richard French, vice president, Intel
Unix Products Division, Oracle Corp. "As this new computing paradigm
matures and demands on performance and scalability increase, Oracle
WebServer powered by the Oracle7 database will provide a truly powerful
and reliable WebServer platform."

"We are very pleased to have the Oracle WebServer available as part of the
SCO Internet Family," said Jeff Ait, vice president, Internet, SCO. "The
Internet Family provides a complete set of solutions for our customers and
gives them the opportunity to quickly integrate the Internet into their
business critical environments. By partnering together, Oracle and SCO
have created a truly compelling offer for all of our enterprise
customers." Oracle WebServer Architecture

Oracle WebServer 2.0 offers an open, extensible architecture. The Web
Request broker ensures the interoperability of applications written in
different languages residing on different web servers. Oracle WebServer
2.0 delivers integrated capabilities, like the HTTP listener, secure
commerce, authentication and encryption, precluding the need for users to
buy separate HTTP servers for each of these purposes. Oracle WebServer
ships with several exciting features making it the most versatile web
server in the market today. The Java Interpreter offers an integrated Java
runtime environment with extensions for the Oracle7 database, effectively
enabling developers to implement dynamic Web applications through native
Java classes on the server. The PL/SQL agent allows the Oracle WebServer
to perform native Oracle7 processing and provides a secure interface into
the Oracle7 server.

Oracle WebServer 2.0 will be available as part of SCO's Internet Family,
which is scheduled to ship in early June, and is priced at $2,495, and
includes the Java runtime environment and the PL/SQL agent.
