Radnet, Inc. Introduces WebShare, The First Groupware Solution Designed for
the Web

WebShare Users Need Only Their Standard Web Browser and a Windows NT Server
To Quickly, Easily Create and Use Powerful Intranet Groupware
Applications

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Radnet, Inc. introduced WebShare, the first groupware
designed from the outset to take advantage of Internet World Wide Web
technology and corporate Intranets. Like Lotus Notes, WebShare helps
companies to boost productivity by creating groupware applications that
intelligently share information. But unlike other groupware products,
WebShare makes it easy and affordable to gain immediate benefits, and
doesn't require companies to modify their networks or distribute, install
and maintain complex client software. Instead, WebShare users access their
groupware applications from their favorite Web browser.

"WebShare allows companies to easily roll out customized groupware
solutions to internal teams by taking advantage of the infrastructure of
their Intranets and the World Wide Web," said Ed Fredkin, president and
CEO of Radnet. "Most companies provide employees with Internet access and
Web browsing capability - or are well on their way to deploying an
internal Intranet. For those companies, WebShare offers a way to add new
groupware applications in minutes. This means companies can gain the
paybacks from using groupware to improve corporate information flow and
productivity almost immediately."

Radnet will be demonstrating the beta version of WebShare in its Booth #102
at Spring Internet World next week, held April 30 through May 2 in San
Jose, California.

"We designed WebShare to leverage Intranets and Internet standards," said
Andrew Ressler, Radnet co-founder and vice president of research and
development. "Because WebShare is built on open standards such as HTML,
SMTP and SSL, and defacto standards such as MAPI and ODBC, rather than
proprietary technology, our capabilities will automatically expand as Web
tools and technology advance. From this platform, we provide a solution
with the same kind of groupware functionality that made Lotus Notes
popular--at a fraction of the cost to design, deploy, train users and
maintain."

WebShare is designed for internal corporate Web developers and webmasters,
ISVs and resellers building groupware applications for Intranet and
Internet deployment. WebShare offers the ability to quickly and easily
create groupware applications that readily share document- oriented
information in an intelligent way. As a result, large and small teams
alike can share knowledge and expertise, keep track of items or issues,
communicate across geographic and time boundaries, collaborate to solve
problems, or keep team members updated on the status of projects. Users
can easily submit files to electronic libraries of product literature,
sales presentations, diagrams and photos, so people have the vital
information they need to do their jobs. Since WebShare was designed to use
SQL to store WebShare data, it's easy to integrate groupware applications
built with WebShare with corporate data stored in SQL databases.

WebShare Components

WebShare is a complete groupware system. The only thing users need to
install WebShare is a Windows NT machine, NT version 3.51 and the WebShare
installation disk. WebShare comes complete with a run- time version of the
SQL Anywhere relational database licensed from Sybase, and the Spyglass
Server SDK Web server. The WebShare product family initially consists of
three major components: the WebShare Server, the WebShare Designer and the
WebShare Starter Applications:

WebShare Server

The WebShare Server is a powerful object-oriented groupware engine that
stores the groupware application's views of information, fields, forms,
scripts, user permissions, and all data about the application's state in
order to manage its functionality. The server is tuned for high
performance and runs continuously, in order to enable the applications to
pass information by the most efficient means. The server insulates
developers from having to explicitly manage low-level groupware
application functions, thus promoting rapid application design (RAD),
prototyping and deployment.

WebShare Designer

Developers can build powerful custom groupware applications using the
WebShare Designer. It is a visual design tool enabling developers to
customize the Starter Applications or create new applications in minutes
-- simply by designing the look and feel and defining the workflow and
other parameters. It even includes an integrated BASIC development
language, licensed from Summit Software Company, for quick and easy
programming.

WebShare Starter Applications

The WebShare Starter Applications let users quickly and easily begin
creating real groupware applications that benefit their business. The
initial Starter Applications that will ship with the WebShare Server
include a threaded discussion database, a problem tracking application and
a document reference library, all of which may be customized as needed by
using the WebShare Designer.

Pricing and Availability

Radnet is currently shipping Beta test versions of WebShare to qualified
professional developers. The WebShare Server and WebShare Starter
Applications will ship in first commercial release by the end of Q2, along
with the beta version of WebShare Designer, which will ship to commercial
customers shortly afterward. WebShare runs on Microsoft Windows NT
platforms, connecting users via a corporate Intranet (any LAN running
TCP/IP) or any public Internet network. Since WebShare's desktop access is
based on any standard Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft
Internet Explorer, supported client platforms include any that support
standard Web browsers, including Windows 3.1, 95 or NT, Macintosh or
UNIX.

Pricing for the server license, which includes the Starter Applications,
will be $1,495 per server. Pricing for the WebShare Designer license will
be $695 per developer seat. There are no client license requirements or
run-time fees. At first customer ship, support will be available through
the Radnet Web site, where WebShare developers and users will be able to
receive up-to-date technical information or download software updates,
demos and sample applications.
