Farallon and PSINet Bring CyberCamp Internet Training Event to Washington,
D.C. School

ALAMEDA, Calif., May 10, 1996 -- Farallon Computing, Inc., and PSINet, Inc.
(NASDAQ: PSIX) today announced that they are co-sponsoring CyberCamp, a
nationwide Internet awareness program for students, parents and teachers,
at M.C. Terrell Elementary School here on May 11. CyberCamp targets
inner-city schools where students are less likely to be exposed to high
technology in the classroom or home environment. The goal of the program
is to help stir community excitement for Internet education and
demonstrate the value of Internet resources in the classroom.

CyberCamp kicked-off last October at Hawthorne-Whitton Elementary School in
Oakland, California. "CyberCamp was a very successful event for us,
because it addressed not only the educational needs of our students, but
those of their parents and teachers as well," said Rebecca Cohn-Vargas,
principal at Hawthorne-Whitton Elementary School. "Through the program,
we've been able to get a head start on incorporating the Internet into our
curriculum."

Students and teachers will use PSINet's LAN-ISDN service to access the
Internet during CyberCamp via Farallon's Netopia Internet Router. The
companies will donate these products and services to the school to provide
ongoing Internet access.

"Like many schools in this country, M.C. Terrell Elementary School's
mission is to provide high academic standards in education and instruction
program. But with the lack of resources often found in inner-city schools,
the challenge is that much greater," stated Alan Lefkof, president and CEO
of Farallon. "It is our goal to help schools like M.C. Terrell by
providing students and teachers with the training necessary to make
Internet access a reality to level the technology gap."

"Internet education is a critical component in providing students with a
competitive edge in today's work environment," said William L. Schrader,
president, chairman and CEO of PSINet. "We're pleased to play a key role
in providing this service to help improve our educational institutions."

CyberCamp Agenda

CyberCamp will go beyond the hype and will teach participants the
importance and uses of the Internet. Activities will include hands-on
computer training, interactive demonstrations on Internet uses, and games
aimed at teaching children Internet search skills.

Students, parents, and teachers will learn how the Internet can be used to
conduct research, learn about their heritage, meet people from different
cultures, and create their own web page. Further, sessions have been
created specifically for teachers to learn how to create and deliver
Internet curriculum for the classroom. Besides demonstrating the value of
the Internet, CyberCamp will offer parents and teachers an opportunity to
learn about Internet hazards and about how to insure a child is getting a
positive and educational Internet experience.
