YORK NEW MEDIA WEEK"

I-MAGIC Finalists to be Showcased on PC EXPO Exhibit Floor at Javits
Center; I-MAGIC Awards to Honor the Best in CD-ROMs, Games and Web Sites

(New York, NY, May 6) - New York City will be abuzz with the sound and
visuals of new media innovation during New York New Media Week, June
17-20, when the Fourteenth Annual PC EXPO In New York, the industry's
largest trade event for business, shares the spotlight with the First
Annual i-MAGIC Awards Festival. More than 100,000 business professionals
will arrive in New York City -- "Content Capital of the World" for
technology and the media -- to attend the two events.

"New York New Media Week means hundreds of new products and the largest
gathering ever in New York City of the digital minds that are influencing
the new media industries," said Monica Vila, executive vice president of
Blenheim Group USA, Inc., producers of PC EXPO. "No other new media event
this year will attract this many decision makers."

More than 71,500 professionals are employed in the new media industries in
New York, according to a recent study prepared by Coopers & Lybrand for
the New York New Media Association and the New York City Economic
Development Corporation.

PC EXPO In New York will take place at the Javits Convention Center, June
18-20, while i-Magic, which stands for Innovative Multimedia Achievement
in the Global Interactive Community, will be housed, June 17-19, at the
New York Information Technology Center (NYITC), located at 55 Broad
Street. i-MAGIC also features keynote presentations, roundtable
discussions, a Digital Frontier showcasing cutting-edge technologies and
presentations of i-MAGIC finalists and winners.

i-MAGIC Awards Festival finalists' CD-ROMs, Games and Web sites will also
be showcased in two locations at PC EXPO. Web site finalists will be
spotlighted at the i-MAGIC WEB.X Internet Pavilion (Booth #1056); and
CD-ROM and Game finalists will be showcased at the i-MAGIC Multimedia
Pavilion (Booth #482), both located on the PC EXPO exhibit floor.

More than 500 entries have been submitted in the i-MAGIC Awards competition
in six categories: @Home, @Work, @Play, @School, @Health and @WWW (World
Wide Web). The i-MAGIC judges represent professionals from the new media,
technology and entertainment industries.

"The combination of the i-MAGIC Awards Festival and PC EXPO, the support of
our entrants and judges, and the start of an alliance with the Festival's
sponsoring organizations signal our commitment to establishing the New
York metropolitan area -- Silicon Alley -- as a vital center of the
industry, and bringing leading-edge technology companies to the East
Coast," said Beth Lemonides, president of SMI, i-MAGIC's parent company.

Special events planned for i-MAGIC include an Opening Night Gala at the
NYITC building on Monday, June 17 on the eve of PC EXPO, followed by the
i-MAGIC Awards Night Gala on Tuesday, June 18, a black tie,
invitation-only event at the Palladium. The ceremony will be followed by a
celebration party of invited new media professionals. PC EXPO and I MAGIC
are joined for New York New Media Week by other participating
organizations including: IBM Corporation, Apple Computer, Silicon
Graphics, the Broad Alliance for Multimedia Technology and Applications
(BAMTA), the NYITC, Rudin Management, the State Department of Economic
Development and the NYITC District Corporation.

PC EXPO is also working with the New York New Media Association (NYNMA), a
rapidly growing association with more than 2,200 members.
