NVIDIA AND PLAYMATES INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT ALLIANCE BRINGS LEADING
ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT TO THE CONSUMER PC

Playmates Interactive Entertainment releases PC CD-ROM retail version of
Battle Arena Toshinden with built-in support for NV1-based products.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., ---May 6, 1996 --- NVIDIA Corporation and Playmates
Interactive Entertainment (P.I.E.) today announced the availability of the
PC CD-ROM version of Battle Arena Toshinden, currently the top-selling
software title for the Sony Playstation, with built-in driver support for
all NV1-based products. Developed by Digital Dialect for P.I.E., Battle
Arena Toshinden brings real-life fighting perspective to the PC with its
different camera angles and variety of fighting techniques, locales and
opponents. Set in three-dimensional fighting arenas, the MS-DOS version of
the Sony Playstation mega-hit, now with "Powered by NVIDIA" enhancements,
brings 360-degree movement, visually astounding graphics and head-to-head
two-player mode with digital game pads. The NVIDIA drivers are included in
the standard version, which is available in retail stores.

P.I.E. joins a growing list of developers supporting the NV1 multimedia
accelerator including Sega, Sony Interactive, Activision, Gremlin
Interactive, Papyrus Design Group, Electronic Arts, Psygnosis, Virgin
Interactive, Domark, Interplay and others.

"Battle Arena Toshinden is going to revolutionize the way PC users think
about arcade-style computer games," said David Luehmann, executive
producer for P.I.E. "Without a doubt, Toshinden combined with the speed
and visuals provided by NV1, provides the same quality gameplay previously
experienced on the console version."

"NVIDIA has now brought the best of all worlds to the Diamond Edge 3D",
stated Ken Wirt, vice president of marketing for Diamond Multimedia. "Edge
3D customers now have the opportunity to experience the best titles from
all three leading content platforms: Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation and PC
CD-ROM. This clearly makes the NV1 an exciting technology for gaming on
the PC."

"Its been an exciting process working with Playmates and Digital Dialect to
bring one of the top SonyPlaystation titles to the world of the consumer
PC. The NVIDIA NV1 chip is the only chip in the industry that accelerates
content from all of the major entertainment platforms available today:
Sega, Sony, and the consumer multimedia PC. Toshinden running on NV will
show gamers the true capability of today's consumer PC." stated Rob
Csongor," director of marketing at NVIDIA.

"I believe the most amazing aspect of the NV1 multimedia accelerator was
the brief amount of time it took to complete the enhancements," commented
Michael Case, producer at Digital Dialect. "We had the game running in
almost no time and completed the enhancements in about three weeks. NVIDIA
has really focused on providing a streamlined programming environment, and
it was proven with Toshinden."

The NV1 is a fully-integrated solution which combines the key components of
multimedia in a single-chip architecture. Through this integration the NV1
offers real-time, fully-textured 3D graphics, 2D graphics acceleration,
advanced audio, full-motion video acceleration and a digital input
joystick engine. This single-chip technology has been designed to support,
enhance and concurrently accelerate standards such as Microsoft's DirectX
application programming interfaces (APIs) including DirectDraw,
DirectVideo, DirectSound, DirectInput and Direct3D. The result is an
immediate and across-the-board enhancement of Windows 95 content. NV1
products from Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc., Jazz Multimedia Inc.,
Leadtek Research Inc., and others will soon ship with a complete suite of
DirectX drivers.
