Natural Intelligence and EveryWare provide instant database connectivity

May 13, 1996, San Jose, CA: Natural Intelligence, Inc., a leading provider
of development tools for Java, and EveryWare Development Corp., which
specializes in Web/database integration products, announced today the
first step in their strategic partnership: codevelopment of database
connectivity software written in Sun Microsystems' Java programming
language. These classes will allow programmers to query and retrieve data
from a variety of industrial-strength databases such as Oracle, Sybase,
Informix, and SQL Server using Java. The software will be shipped free
with any purchase of Roaster DR2, Natural Intelligence's development
environment for Java, or Tango 1.5, EveryWare's latest version of its
popular rapid Web application development tool.

JAVA DATABASE CONNECTIVITY (JDBC) COMPLIANCE

The new software developed by Natural Intelligence and EveryWare is the
first step towards full support of the JDBC specification, allowing Java
applications access to any ODBC-compliant database.

ROASTER AND TANGO

Roaster is a robust, comprehensive environment for developing applets and
applications in Java. Tango is a full-featured visual development tool
that enables Web administrators to rapidly create dynamic Web applications
that interact with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)-compliant databases
without writing any HTML (HyperText Markup Language) or SQL (Structured
Query Language) code.

Users can create data queries in Tango and use the Roaster software to call
the Tango query documents, which return the data into the Java environment
in a variety of ways.

"The combined feature sets of Tango and Roaster provide a comprehensive set
of functionality for Java developers," remarked Joshua D. Wachs, President
of Natural Intelligence. "Database connectivity is a key element in
building applets and applications in Java that are more than just
3D-animations, and can be used for solution development in the corporate
sector."

Dan MacKenzie, President of EveryWare, agreed with this assessment: "Using
this software with Roaster and Tango will allow developers to provide end
users with countless possibilities for visual, live representation of data
over the World-Wide Web."

"We are always looking for ways to provide our customers with the most
comprehensive solution," said Stephen Whiteside, Director of Sales at
EveryWare Development Corp. "It's partnering with companies such as
Natural Intelligence that will allow our customers to benefit from
leading-edge technology, allowing them to create innovative solutions."

"We are excited that Natural Intelligence and EveryWare have provided this
new Java-based technology for the Macintosh platform," said Larry Tesler,
Vice President of Internet Platforms, at Apple Computer, Inc. "Both
companies continue to push the envelope for what can be accomplished in
this arena."

CUSTOMER COMMENTS

"Tango and Roaster are very significant because they allow you to develop
cross platform, very scalable solutions from a Mac development
environment, and then deploy them with a variety of WWW servers and
database servers," said Matthew Meyers of FMS Technologies.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Roaster/Tango software will be shipped free with DR2 of Roaster and
Tango 1.5. The products will be available through MacTech and APDA at WWDC
for $299 and $495, respectively.
