NetSoft Enhances Mainframe Connectivity Software for Windows 3.X.

DynaComm/Elite version 3.6 increases host session support by 300%, while
adding TN3270E support, Async/X.25 links, ODBC access to DB2, and other
features.

IRVINE, CA, May 22, 1996 -- Client/server connectivity leader NetSoft today
announced version 3.6 of DynaComm/Elite, the company's flagship client
software product for concurrent 3270 and Advanced Program-to-Program
Communications (APPC) based PC-to-mainframe connectivity.

DynaComm/Elite 3.6 now provides support for up to 15 concurrent PC-to-host
sessions, a three-fold increase from the previous version which supported
5 sessions. Other new features include support for TN3270E emulation for
TCP/IP networks, ODBC access to IBM DB2 host databases, async and X.25
connectivity via the Renex Asynchronous Protocol, APPC connectivity
through Microsoft's SNA Server, custom printer fonts, enhanced printer
session status information, a new configurable session inactivity time-out
feature, and more.

"While we are continuing to enhance our 32-bit Windows products, the
majority of customer sites are still using 16-bit Windows 3.X on many of
their machines," said Gene Ousey, product manager for NetSoft's Mainframe
Business Unit. "It's very important that we continue to provide customers
with their current needs as well as meeting their needs for the future."

DynaComm/Elite now supports up to 15 concurrent mainframe sessions. Any
combination of screen and printer sessions can be configured. Enhancements
to the user interface include a scrolling list box on the Communications
Setting dialog box. The list box allows the user to easily configure each
session by double-clicking on the desired session.

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network users can
now request a free diskette incorporating TN3270E support, called the
DynaComm/Elite TN3270 Option. The TCP/IP protocol is increasingly
attractive for both Internet and Intranet business infrastructures.
"DynaComm/Elite's inclusion of TN3270E gives our customers a powerful tool
in the transition to TCP/IP"," continued Ousey. "Customers can now get
improved 3270 datastream support in enterprise TCP/IP environments,
including SNA printing."

DynaComm/Elite now provides native Windows 3.X access to IBM mainframes
over asynchronous dial-up lines and X.25 packet-switching networks via
Renex Corporation's TMS-4 or RPAD-2 controllers. The Renex Asynchronous
Protocol Driver has been embedded into DynaComm/Elite 3.6.

Users who need Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC) access to IBM DB2
databases can now use DynaComm/Elite's APPC services together with StarSQL
from StarWare.

DynaComm/Elite's APPC services have additionally been enhanced to support
host sessions through Microsoft's SNA Server, providing centralized APPC
session configuration and management. The previous version of
DynaComm/Elite supported SNA Server connectivity for 3270 sessions only.

With DynaComm/Elite's new support of custom printer fonts for printer
sessions, users are now able to customize the printer fonts for
mainframe-generated print jobs. Selections such as destination printer,
font style, font size and font spacing can be adjusted to suit the user's
needs. Print-to-disk options are also included.

The enhanced printer session status features includes information such as
link state and characters received. The configurable session inactivity
time-out feature will disconnect any screen session that has remained
inactive for a predetermined amount of time.

DynaComm/Elite 3.6 is available for immediate delivery. The software is
priced at $395.
