NETMANAGE AND FARALLON PARTNER ON LOOK@ME INTRANET COLLABORATION TOOL

OEM Agreement Helps Broaden Definition of Corporate IntraNets

CUPERTINO, CALIF. - MAY 22, 1996 - NetManage (NASDAQ: NETM), the leading
provider of standards-based IntraNet solutions, today announced a
partnership agreement with Farallon Communication to bundle the company's
Look@Me application as a standalone applet and Web browser plug-in into
the next release of NetManage's award-winning Chameleon IntraNet Desktop
suite. The partnership underscores both companies' common commitment to
providing software applications for collaborating across corporate
IntraNets and the Internet.

Look@Me allows one computer user to view the screen of another user in
real-time across a corporate IntraNet or the Internet. All mouse movements
and screen activity of the viewed user's computer are displayed
simultaneously in a window on the other user's monitor, irrespective of
both users' geographical locations. Examples of the many uses of the
technology include demonstrations, presentations, technical support and
collaborative document preparation.

"The usefulness of this application is tremendous," said Willie Tejada,
vice president of product marketing for NetManage. "It is a perfect
example of NetManage's vision of adapting Internet technology in the
corporate sphere to include a wide range of collaboration tools, much more
than just messaging and browsing."

"The Look@Me applet enhances the collaborative capabilities of Chameleon
users and helps deliver our vision of real-time, peer-to-peer
collaboration to Internet and IntraNet users," said Steve Solomon, vice
president and general manager of software products at Farallon.

NetManage was instrumental in the development of Farallon's Look@Me applet.
It will be included among the more than 50 IntraNet tools comprising
NetManage's acclaimed Chameleon IntraNet Desktop suite in its next
release, due this summer. Look@Me is integrated as a plug-in to
NetManage's popular HTML browser, WebSurfer, allowing Chameleon users to
monitor each other's screen activity directly from the browser.
