Microsoft Exchange in Business

The Best Example-Driven Book About Microsoft Exchange for Users and Power
Users

Microsoft Exchange is a revolutionary new messaging system, with integrated
workgroup functionality, that promises to make communications over
networks and the Internet easier. MICROSOFT EXCHANGE IN BUSINESS uses
scenario-based examples to show how users can meet their messaging and
information exchange needs with Microsoft Exchange.

Because Microsoft Exchange integrates messaging, scheduling, electronic
forms, personal contact lists, and mini-applications into one product and
can be customized by the end user with ease, the best way to learn how to
use it is with task-based examples and common scenarios. MICROSOFT
EXCHANGE IN BUSINESS provides just that-a scenario-based introduction for
users and power users who want a task-based, integrated way to learn how
they can use the product to meet their messaging and information-sharing
needs.

MICROSOFT EXCHANGE IN BUSINESS is divided into six parts. The introduction
explains the concept of information exchange and the Guided Tour
introduces the reader to Microsoft Exchange. The book follows with
discussions of:

* personal information, including using electronic mail, Schedule+, public
folders, and developing a personal information profile

* The discussion forum, including participating in a discussion, setting up
a discussion forum, adding and removing participants, and controlling
forum exchanges

* Project information, including setting up a project folder, setting up a
project group name, controlling pieces of a project, setting up project
information messages, scheduling project meetings, and setting and
tracking project tasks

* Organization-related information, including collecting customer
information, creating forms and public folders to collect and distribute
customer information, and finding and viewing customer information.

* Extending Microsoft Exchange, including working with Remote Mail and
customizing your Exchange setup

The book's three appendixes include information on importing your mail file
from Microsoft Mail 3.x, tips for using Microsoft Exchange more
effectively, and a command and toolbar button reference index.

MICROSOFT EXCHANGE IN BUSINESS documents a new approach to a new way to
work collaboratively and share information within groups. Its
example-driven emphasis will appeal to those who want to see how they can
put Microsoft Exchange to work sharing, collecting, structuring, and
managing information.
