MICROSOFT NBA FULL COURT PRESS DELIVERS INTENSELY COMPETITIVE, REALISTIC
BASKETBALL GAME AT ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPO (E3)

Microsoft Excites Crowd With Thrilling NBA Game Play and Multiplayer
Action

LOS ANGELES - MAY 16, 1996 - Microsoft Corp. today gave the PC gaming
industry its first public preview of NBA Full Court Press, the company's
forthcoming CD-ROM-based basketball game, at the Electronic Entertainment
Expo (E3). NBA Full Court Press combines the thrill of competition with
realistic sights, sounds and actions, plus a new level in ease of use for
heart-pumping action.

Fans who want official NBA-style action on their PCs will be captivated by
the competitive experience of NBA Full Court Press. Game players can
elevate the excitement by competing against other PC hoopsters in real
time via modem or network, allowing any combination of two to four players
to control teams in full five-on-five basketball play.

Gamers can also compete in single games, play an entire season schedule,
organize tournament play, or work on their games in practice mode.
Intense, unpredictable competition is enhanced by an artificial
intelligence (AI) engine that draws on more than 100 NBA plays.

NBA Full Court Press delivers the striking degree of realism demanded by
sports gamers. It offers dazzling, true-to-life high-resolution graphics
and lifelike player action and movements, including more than 250
motion-captured player animations. Recorded and digitized sounds of the
chanting crowd give gamers the home-court advantage.

All 29 NBA teams and rosters are represented in NBA Full Court Press. Every
dunk, rejection and rebound is detailed through the emphatic play-by-plays
of Kevin Calabro, the voice of the Seattle SuperSonics.

NBA Full Court Press combines the best of sophisticated basketball action
with statistical information on virtually every NBA player, enabling
gamers to play as their favorite teams and players. Fans can conduct
player trades or create their own ultimate teams.

Along with top-level competition and realism, NBA Full Court Press delivers
the ease of use possible with the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system.
AutoInstall capability, for example, makes installation automatic and
foolproof. Gamers simply insert the compact disc and begin to play. A
fully intuitive user interface puts players right on the court.
