Lotus Announces The Notes Enthusiast

Lotus Customer Support's New Quarterly CD-based Magazine Helps Notes
Developers, Technicians and Users Build a Complete Library of Support
Tools and Notes Information

Cambridge, Mass., May 13, 1996 -- Lotus Development Corporation today
announced the immediate availability of the Notes Enthusiast, a
compact-disc-based encyclopedic magazine for Notes users. The Notes
Enthusiast, published quarterly, is the first CD magazine of its kind in
the electronic support arena, and provides in-depth information to IT
professionals and users who develop, support and work with Notes-based
applications.

Each issue covers Lotus news, Lotus business partner information, software
directories, and multi-vendor support information for one or more specific
subjects. The introductory issue addresses migration from Notes R3 to
Notes R4.

"The communications landscape is changing rapidly with the growth of the
Internet and other emerging technologies. In this environment, it's
important to give Notes technicians, developers and users a wide variety
of support options, including information resources that are as rich and
comprehensive as possible," said Dave Champagne, senior vice president,
Lotus Services Group. "The Notes Enthusiast is the latest in a series of
innovative, cost-efficient and effective tools Lotus customers can use to
help realize maximum return on their investment in Notes."

The Notes Enthusiast contains several full-text, indexed, searchable Notes
support databases, timely and practical articles about Notes, a directory
of Lotus Authorized Support Providers and more. Each issue's contents
revolve around one or more specific subjects such as migration, addressing
them in-depth so that over time subscribers can build a comprehensive
Notes library of key information.

The Notes Enthusiast rounds out Lotus' broad selection of high-quality
electronic support offerings, including Fax on Demand service, Lotus'
technical support library available through Lotus Bulletin Board Systems,
CompuServe Lotus Forums, and the Lotus Home Page at http://www.lotus.com.
Lotus also offers the Lotus Notes Network, Lotus' Notes-based electronic
community connecting Lotus to its business partners and customers,
allowing them to collaborate, share information among their organizations,
and broaden workgroups with access to interenterprise applications and
services.

"For customers to exploit the full potential of Notes, it is imperative
that they have access to the support tools they need, when they need
them," says Amy Osetek, industry analyst for Dataquest, Westborough, MA.
"The Notes Enthusiast adds to Lotus Services Group's comprehensive range
of electronic service options and is a convenient way for both large and
small Notes users to handle support issues right at their desktop."
