Audio and Data Conferencing Solution

Leading PC Companies Announce Integrated ProShare Product Offerings

HILLSBORO, Ore., April 30, 1996 -- Intel Corporation today announced the
world's first PC-based multipoint video, audio and data conferencing
solution that is fully compliant with international telecommunications
standards. The new release of Intel's ProShare Conferencing Video System
200 allows up to 24 people to simultaneously participate in a video
conference from their individual desktop PCs. The new release is
immediately available as a free upgrade to ProShare conferencing users and
will be included in all new purchases of the ProShare Conferencing Video
System 200.

Intel's ProShare Conferencing Video System 200 delivers multipoint video,
audio and data conferencing through compliance with international
standards, including the T.120 standard for sharing data with multiple
conference participants and the H.320 standard for multipoint video and
audio conferences. ProShare conferencing systems communicate with other
brands of video, data and audio conferencing solutions that comply with
these international standards. All ProShare conferencing systems run on
Windows '95* and Windows 3.1* operating systems.

Computer Leaders Offer Integrated ProShare Conferencing Solutions

Leading PC companies and software suppliers have announced plans to
integrate ProShare conferencing technology into their product offerings.

Compaq Computer Corporation today announced desktop conferencing solutions
for the business environment that include the Intel ProShare Conferencing
Video System 200. Comprised of powerful, feature-rich Compaq Pentium"
processor desktop PCs and Intel ProShare Conferencing Video System 200,
these PC-based conferencing platforms have been tested and approved by
Compaq and Intel and will be available mid-May through Compaq authorized
resellers in the U.S.

"Compaq is taking the first step in an umbrella strategy we announced last
year to incorporate Intel's ProShare conferencing technology into Compaq
commercial desktop products," said Michael Shealy, vice president,

resellers will offer select Compaq desktop PCs specially configured with
Intel ProShare Conferencing Video System 200 supported by Compaq and
Intel. Compaq believes that ProShare conferencing technology provides

IBM also plans to offer integrated video conferencing solutions for
business customers based on Intel's ProShare Conferencing Video System
200. "Our customers are interested in leveraging the convergence of voice,
data and video technologies to provide real-time communications across
their enterprises," said Rod Adkins, general manager, Commercial Desktop,
IBM PC Company. "The availability of technology included in Intel's
Release 2.0 of ProShare conferencing systems offers IBM customers the
ability to integrate leading videoconferencing functions with robust data

Lotus Development Corporation also plans to upgrade its RealTime Notes
group conferencing with the new ProShare multipoint conferencing features.

Multipoint Services and Multipoint Control Units

In order to conduct multipoint conferences, participants dial into a
multipoint conferencing unit or service. Intel's ProShare Conferencing
Video System 200 is supported by leading multipoint conferencing services,
such as those available from AT&T, MCI, Sprint, Deutsche Telekom, France
Telecom, PTT Telecom (Netherlands) and NTT PC Communications, Inc., to
deliver rich multipoint video conferences.

"ProShare conferencing users now have the ability to conduct full
multipoint voice, video and data calls over AT&T's WorldWorx Network, the
world's leading multipoint video conferencing service," said Ernie G.

simultaneously collaborate with multiple members of their workgroup."

ProShare conferencing users can also purchase their own multipoint control
units to conduct multipoint video, audio and data conferences. The
ProShare Conferencing Video System is fully supported by leading
multipoint control unit suppliers, such as VideoServer and Lucent
Technologies.

conference room, or an auditorium, depending on the number of conference

improved audio and video quality through new video compression and

corporate intranet.

Intel also enhanced its ProShare Conferencing Video System 150 and ProShare
Premier software to enable multipoint data conferencing over corporate
intranets. This enhancement, available free to ProShare conferencing
users, allows multiple persons connected to local area networks (LAN) and
wide area networks (WAN) to share data and collaborate simultaneously. The
new multipoint data conferencing capabilities will be included in all new
purchases of the ProShare Conferencing Video System 150 and ProShare
Premier software.

available immediately as a free upgrade to ProShare conferencing users.

Intel also announced a 25% reduction in the suggested retail price for the
ProShare Conferencing Video System 200 to $1499, which may be available

As an introductory offer, Intel is offering an additional $200 discount
though participating resellers until the end of June 1996. The suggested
retail price of ProShare Premier software has also been reduced to $199.
