IBM Chooses SRA International as an Integration Service Provider to Connect
Content Through IBM infoMarket Service

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 1 (Internet World, Booth # 1207) . . . . IBM today
announced the selection of SRA International, Inc. as an integration
services provider to provide technical solutions to content providers
wishing to connect their information remotely to IBM infoMarket, a
network-based information service, located on the World Wide Web at
http://www.infomarket.ibm.com. SRA International Inc., located at
http://www.sra.com, will send implementation teams to those content
providers desiring their assistance to develop and deploy interfaces and
data management methods that will facilitate their ability to connect to
the IBM infoMarket service. These implementation teams will work closely
with IBM and those content providers to provide seamless integration
between the IBM infoMarket service and appropriate information
repositories.

"SRA has been a key developer for IBM's infoMarket service, so it is only
natural to have them provide integration services for our content
providers," said Jeff Crigler, vice president, IBM infoMarket. "SRA has a
deep understanding of how the IBM infoMarket service works and will
clearly benefit our content providers as they prepare to sell their
information on the Internet through infoMarket."

The IBM infoMarket service allows users to search multiple, distributed and
dissimilar databases with a single query which brings back a results set
in relevance-ranked order. IBM infoMarket searches Web information, USENET
newsgroups, and many commercial databases, some of which contain content
which was previously unavailable on the Web.

The IBM infoMarket service is leading to way to create a secure environment
for intellectual property owners to reach a worldwide audience of millions
over the Internet. This new service provides digital publishers with the
incentive to create and distribute their content electronically.

"SRA is proud to be selected by IBM, to help integrate content into the IBM
infoMarket service," said Anirudh Kulkarni, director of Media Systems for
SRA. "We look forward to further assisting IBM in the deployment of the
infoMarket service and in helping content providers realize new sources of
revenue through Internet-based distribution platforms."

Much of the content in the commercial databases will be returned in the
form of Cryptolope containers. The user has the option to purchase the
information contained within by agreeing to its terms and price. Once the
user has decided to open the Cryptolope a digital key is issued which
unlocks its contents. If permitted by the publisher, the customer can then
choose to send the Cryptolope to others who may be interested in its
contents, thus facilitating the first phase of superdistribution, a new
business model which will enable customers to redistribute a publisher's
content while providing a mechanism for payment from subsequent
customers.

Cryptolope containers are now available on the World Wide Web for users
with a Netscape browser and Windows 3.1 and 3.1.1. Windows 95, Mac OS, and
OS/2 versions are also planned.
