Great Plains Software Announces Support for Digital Clusters for Windows
NT

Fargo, ND, May 13, 1996--Great Plains Software announced today that it will
support Digital Equipment Corporation's Digital Clusters for Windows NT
Server in future releases of Dynamics C/S+ for Microsoft SQL Server--its
32-bit suite of three-tier client/server financial management solutions.
The clustering support for Windows NT will provide midrange corporate
customers even greater assurance that access to mission-critical financial
systems will remain available across hardware or system failures, allowing
accounting operations to continue uninterrupted in "downtime" situations.

"Digital Clusters for Windows NT and its tight integration with Microsoft
BackOffice will provide Dynamics C/S+ for Microsoft SQL Server customers
the high-availability computing previously available only in traditional
mini or mainframe systems," said Ray August, chief technology officer at
Great Plains Software.

"The assurance of increased 'uptime' provided by the combination of
Digital's Clusters and Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, will further cement
Dynamics C/S+ as the ideal solution for midrange corporate customers
seeking cost-effective, high performing next generation client/server
financial management solutions."

Specifically designed and optimized for the latest Microsoft relational
database offering, nine Dynamics C/S+ for Microsoft SQL Server modules and
tools are available today. A leader at providing next-generation
client/server financial management solutions at a lower true
cost-of-ownership, Dynamics C/S+ for Microsoft SQL Server offers
competitive application pricing and shorter installation and
implementation cycles than traditional midrange vendors. Digital's Intel
and Alpha platforms with Windows NT are the optimal solution for superior
performance in this distributed computing model and can be deployed as
database servers, applications servers and the desktop.
