FIREFOX ANNOUNCES INTERNET DOCUMENT SERVER FOR NETWARE LANS

Companies Build Secure Internet and Intranet Web and FTP Sites Directly on
NetWare Servers

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 29 -- Firefox (Nasdaq: FFOX), the leading supplier
of NetWare to TCP/IP gateways, today announced the Internet Document
Server to meet the increasing corporate need for Internet and Intranet
access to information. The Internet Document Server integrates World Wide
Web and FTP servers with extensive NOV*IX security capabilities that
provides a high performance, secure, accountable environment for Internet
and Intranet users. Firefox's Internet Document Server supplies documents
to users within a LAN or WAN directly from the NetWare server, eliminating
expensive UNIX workstation and firewall requirements for NetWare sites.

"The Internet Document Server is more than just a web server; it is the
only document server solution for NetWare users that operates on NetWare
3.x and 4.x, can be accessed from both IP and IPX, uses standard NetWare
security for file access, and features comprehensive firewall security,"
said Peter Simkin, Chief Technical Officer at Firefox.

In a multi-server, intranet environment, the Internet Document Server can
automatically create up to 16 "virtual" web and FTP servers on a LAN or a
WAN for document posting and maintenance -- each with their own IP
address. These virtual web and FTP servers can reside on separate NetWare
servers, communicating to a single NOV*IX gateway over an IPX/SPX network.
For example, from an initial NOV*IX gateway server, a network
administrator may deploy virtual web and FTP servers to a variety of
departments. These departments use their own resources to post and
maintain documents, and can control user access to documents by file name
or directory as required.

IP users on the LAN or WAN can also access documents on any of the virtual
web or FTP servers (when allowed) via a single NOV*IX for NetWare TCP/IP
gateway physically located on the initial NetWare server. Comprehensive
security is achieved with virtual servers based on IPX/SPX, so IP users
are excluded by NOV*IX's natural firewall. IPX/SPX users are restricted by
NetWare's User Authentication and security features.

The Internet Document Server is also customizable, supporting built-in
image mapping, and PERL and BASIC scripting. Firefox plans to incorporate
support for FTP Software's KeyPak document translation software, which
automatically converts documents into HTML format, and a data wizard for
retrieving information from ODBC and SQL databases.

Pricing and Availability

The Internet Document Server will be available in July for $995 from
Firefox integrators, resellers, and distributors. Customers can call
Firefox at 800-230-6090 for more information.
