LAS VEGAS, NV -- Extron Electronics' EMOTIA JR has won Television Broadcast
Magazine's "Editors' Pick of Show" award for its application in "the
advancement in the Art and Science of Television Broadcast".

A team from Television Broadcast Magazine sought out the most interesting
and innovative technology driven products from the broadcast, multimedia
and radio exhibits throughout the NAB 96 conference. Fifty products, out
of three hundred twenty nominations, were chosen for the "Editors' Pick of
Show". Extron's EMOTIA JR fit the bill as it is the multimedia industry's
first PC to TV (VGA to NTSC/PAL Video) converter that doesn't utilize
software drivers at any time! The EMOTIA JR converts the PC video of a VGA
card (640 x 480) to NTSC or PAL standard Video and S-Video (S-VHS).

The EMOTIA JR's hand-held size makes it perfect for "traveling-sales" type
presentations where connection from a laptop or PC needs to be "plug and
play." It's small enough to travel in the same case as a laptop, and it
allows the laptop to be connected to ANY monitor, anywhere. In addition,
the remarkable quality of the EMOTIA JR allows it to output VCR recordable
video--a great tool for software training via VCR.

The EMOTIA JR is also available as a PC "add-in" card. If your application
calls for an all-in-one PC, you can order the EMOTIA JR PC and simply plug
it into a free slot in your VESA BUS PC. The EMOTIA JR lists for $850, or
$795 for the PC add-in card.

Located in Anaheim, California, Extron Electronics is a leading
manufacturer of computer-video interfaces, switchers, distribution
amplifiers and scan converters. Extron's computer signal processing
equipment is used to integrate computer-video to presentation displays and
can be seen used in today's high-tech boardrooms, presentation/training
centers, university lecture halls, and other applications. Scan Converters
are used in the multimedia industry to convert computer-video to the NTSC
or PAL video standard for display on consumer Televisions and recording
onto videotape.
