EXP Computer, Inc. Signs Agreement with Tech Data Corporation To Distribute
EXP's Line of Portable Peripherals for Notebook Computers

TECH DATA TO DISTRIBUTE PCMCIA CD-ROM KITS AND CELLULAR FAX/MODEMS

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, MAY 6, 1996---Today it was announced that EXP Computer,
Inc. has formally signed a distribution agreement with the giant national
distributor, Tech Data Corporation, of Clearwater, Florida. Tech Data is
the second largest computer distributor in the United States. Under the
terms of the agreement, Tech Data will distribute EXP's full line of
portable PCMCIA CD-ROM and multi-media kits as well as the EXP line of
portable PCMCIA cellular fax/modems.

This pact is mutually beneficial for both EXP and Tech Data. EXP will
benefit from the exposure to Tech Data's vast dealer and Var base through
creative and effective channel marketing, including product promotions and
special offers. Tech Data will benefit by being able to offer their
customer base the very latest in PCMCIA portable technology. Tech Data
will distribute EXP's products in the United States and in Latin America.

EXP's product line consists of its flagship portable PCMCIA CD-ROM drives
for notebook computers including units with and without stereo sound
capability. EXP's models range from quad (4X) units to yet to be announced
8X models. Features of the products include the lowest access times on the
market as well as the ability to operate via the host notebook computer's
battery, (4X only). All of these products are compatible with Windows 3.11
and Win95.

Also, EXP manufactures a full line of high-speed cellular PCMCIA fax/modems
for notebook computers. The ThinFax 288C, V.34, 28.8 model offers direct
connection access to most popular cellular phones for easy data
transmission over the cellular network. EXP also stocks and re-sells the
cables for the most popular cellular phones. In addition, these fax/modems
also operate as a typical land modem and can reach speeds of up to 115,200
bps with the built-in data compression.
