ROAD RASH FOR WINDOWS 95

Electronic Arts Merges Alternative Music With Multiplayer Capabilities

LOS ANGELES, MAY 16, 1996 BOOTH 10311 -- Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS), a
leading global interactive entertainment software company announces the
release of the Windows 95 version of Road Rash. In this first ever PC
version of Road Rash, players can race head-to-head via modem or against
up to seven other players with the network multiplayer option. Electronic
Arts developed the Windows 95 version of Road Rash in conjunction with
software developer, Papyrus Design Group.

Since its release on the PlayStation and the 3DO System, ROAD RASH has
received numerous awards including Game Of the Year, Best Driving Game of
the Year, and Best Music CD of the Year from Electronic Gaming Monthly.
This new version will take full advantage of Windows 95 and give players
the option to adjust audio as well as change graphics from low to high
resolution to optimize hardware performance.

"ROAD RASHING" Is the term given to high-speed, anything-goes, outlawed
motorcycle racing, where fists and gutsy riding makes the difference
between finishing in first place or chewing concrete. Players blaze
through curves on stylized, texture-mapped locations, ranging from city
and canyon runs, to country backroads. With a fast frame rate and stereo
sound, Road Rash delivers the kind of involving ride game players have
only fantasized about before.

ROAD RASH features music from six hot alternative music bands: Soundgarden,
Paw, Swervedriver, Therapy?, Monster Magnet, and Hammerbox. The game
integrates video of the bands and several of their music videos with
extensive motorcycle racing footage, adding real-world texture to the
product.

The development of ROAD RASH incorporates film-production techniques and
integrates many processes with innovative interactive technology.
Electronic Arts' design team used a variety of art forms to create this
un-real game world. They have combined artist rendered, stylized graphics
with blue screen photography of real motorcycles, riders, and pedestrians
for the ultimate in gritty realism. Wrapped around the gameplay are live
action video sequences using professionally directed stunts, many filmed
from on-board cameras and then integrated to complete this unique visual
experience.

Scheduled to be released by Electronic Arts in Fall 1996, ROAD RASH FOR
WINDOWS 95 will have a suggested retail price of $59.95.
