ELECTRONIC ARTS INVESTS IN SOFTWARE PUBLISHER, TIBURON ENTERTAINMENT

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 7, 1996Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS), a global
independent interactive entertainment software company, today announced it
has acquired a minority equity interest in Tiburon Entertainment, Inc., a
Longwood, Florida-based independent game developer. Tiburon will become an
exclusive developer for Electronic Arts for entertainment software on the
PlayStation, Sega Saturn and other videogame systems. Financial terms of
the agreement were not disclosed

Tiburon, founded in 1994, has designed top-selling interactive game
software for Electronic Arts for several years. The 23-person Tiburon is a
widely recognized for its ability to develop innovative and visually
compelling game software. Key Electronic Arts properties developed by
Tiburon include the award-winning John Madden Football 96 and NHL 96 for
the Super NES.

Electronic Arts' investment in Tiburon follows EA's recent acquisition of
Seattle, Washington-based Manley & Associates in January of this year.
