AGES 3 TO 9 VALUABLE MORAL LESSONS THROUGH CAPTIVATING STORYLINES,
MESMERIZING ANIMATION AND RICHLY SCORED MUSIC

LOS ANGELES, MAY 16, 1996 -- At the E3 trade show beginning today, Davidson
& Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAVD) announced three new Magic Tales
interactive stories: Liam Finds a Story - An Irish Folk Tale, Sleeping
Cub's Test of Courage - A Native American Folk Tale and The Princess and
the Crab - An Italian Folk Tale.

Davidson's highly acclaimed Magic Tales series, which debuted in September
1995, also includes Baba Yaga and the Magic Geese - A Russian Folk Tale,
Imo and the King - An African Folk Tale and The Little Samurai - A
Japanese Folk Tale.

Based on classic folk tales from around the world, these multimedia CD-ROMs
for children ages three to nine convey valuable life lessons -- such as
responsibility, kindness, courage and perseverance -- through vividly
animated storylines, which reflect the magic and culture of the
originating country. Each story mesmerizes youngsters with spellbinding
graphics; cinema-quality animation; over 500 "click-and-explore"
surprises; and richly scored, original music.

As part of the initial product introduction, Davidson will offer a free
Magic Tales CD-ROM in the same box with each new title. Liam Finds a Story
will be packed with The Little Samurai, Sleeping Cub's Test of Courage
will be paired with Baba Yaga and The Magic Geese, and The Princess and
the Crab will be packaged with Imo and the King.

The new Magic Tales are expected to be available at most major computer
retail stores, mass merchants and toy stores in a Windows 95/Windows
3.1/Macintosh/ PowerMac CD-ROM format this fall for approximately $35
each. A four-color companion book will be included with each title.

Jan Davidson, president and founder of Davidson & Associates, Inc., says,
"Magic Tales breathe new life into the click-and-explore storybook, and we
are excited to expand our collection with Irish, Native American and
Italian folk tales. These enchanting stories offer children a glimpse of
cultures from around the world and convey valuable messages such as the
importance of perseverance and responsibility.

"Each story captivates children with beautiful art, life-like animations
and rich sounds. As youngsters are drawn into the stories, they will build
important early reading skills and develop a lifelong love of reading."

LIAM FINDS A STORY

In this traditional Irish folk tale, Liam goes on an adventure in search of
a "story" to save his family from the dreaded Fairy Witch, who demands to
hear a tale that she has never previously heard. During his travels, Liam
rescues a leprechaun who falls into a brook while fishing, and learns
through his subsequent ventures the important lesson that kindness repays
kindness. Realizing that he has a story to tell, Liam rushes home to share
his magical adventures with the Fairy Witch. Satisfied, the witch flies
off, leaving behind a sack of gold for Liam and his family.

SLEEPING CUB'S TEST OF COURAGE

This classic Native American folk tale tells the story of Sleeping Cub, a
young orphan who longs to become a brave warrior and embarks on an
adventure to help his tribe find its missing buffalo. During his travels,
he proves his courage as he confronts dangerous creatures and braves
uncharted waters. More importantly, Sleeping Cub learns to believe in
himself as he passes a final test of courage.

After he helps to find the missing buffalo, Sleeping Cub's tribe celebrates
his feat and applauds his courage by giving him a new name: Brave Bear.

THE PRINCESS AND THE CRAB

This traditional Italian folk tale tells the story of a listless young
princess whose father continually bestows her gifts, trying to "buy" her
interests in hobbies. One day, the wicked fairy casts a magic spell on her
handsome prince. In order to free him from the spell, the princess faces a
series of challenges: defeat a two-headed dragon, play enchanting music
and retrieve a magical flower cast out to sea. To her father's amazement,
the princess zealously learns to fence, play the violin and swim. More
importantly, she learns that she can accomplish great things by pursuing
her own dreams and not following the dreams of others.

GRANDPA MOUSE, THE STORYTELLER

Each of these tales is enhanced by "Grandpa Mouse," who introduces and
narrates each story, and then says good-bye when the Magic Tale concludes.
Grandpa Mouse can also turn the "book" pages automatically for younger
children who prefer to simply watch and listen to the story; older
children (or their parents) can select an interactive mode, which allows
them to hear words or sentences repeated, and explore the story as much as
they'd like. Two separate icons in this mode also allow players to go
forward or backward in the story.

DEVELOPMENT BY CAPITOL MULTIMEDIA

All three titles are developed by Capitol Multimedia, Inc., (Nasdaq: CDIM,
CDIMW) the Bethesda, Maryland-based developer of CD-ROM software for the
children's consumer market. Davidson is licensing these titles in its
Magic Tales line from Capitol Multimedia.

Capitol Multimedia, with additional offices in Concord, MA and St.
Petersburg, Russia, employs more than 175 professionals, including
animators, artists, producers, software and audio engineers, writers and

of animated stories such as Magic Tales.
