FUNNYBONE INTERACTIVE PREVIEWS "STAY TOONED!" AT E3

ZANY MULTIMEDIA CARTOON ADVENTURE -- PACKED WITH OVER 30 GAMES, WACKY
CHARACTERS, SLAPSTICK COMEDY AND GREAT TUNES -- USES STATE-OF-THE-ART 3-D
GLASSES FOR A UNIQUE GAMING EXPERIENCE

LOS ANGELES, CALIF., MAY 16, 1996 -- Don't press that red button! At the E3
trade show beginning today, FUNNYBONE Interactive previewed Stay Tooned!,
a wacky multimedia cartoon adventure packed with over 30 games ranging in
styles from classic arcade-style games to brain teasers to Old West
shoot-outs. The CD-ROM software will be packaged with state-of-the-art,
clear-cellophane 3-D glasses that allow players to view wild optical
illusions and special effects in selected games.

Bursting with non-stop action, suspense, adventure, spoofs and comedy gags
culled from six decades of classic cartoons, Stay Tooned! stars zany
cartoon characters who escape from their Saturday morning television shows
and bring bedlam and mayhem into the real world. To bring this crazy,
cartoon world back to "normal," players must find the missing remote
control and zap the troublesome toons back into their television shows.

Says Susan Swanson Decker, vice president and creative director of
FUNNYBONE Interactive, "Stay Tooned! takes interaction to an exciting new
level. As players search for these out-of-control cartoon characters, they
will have fun discovering a wild assortment of unexpected environments,
interacting with hilarious cartoon personalities and playing games within
games. Players will also need to avoid being the victim of countless
cartoon gags, which is not an easy task because the characters are always
working against the player."

Adds Joel Fried, president and founder of FUNNYBONE Interactive, "Players
will also have a wild time experiencing our exclusive ToonVision 3-D
technology, which brings a whole new dimension to the gaming experience.
Unlike the old red and blue 3-D glasses, Stay Tooned! uses a highly
sophisticated 3-D image process to create true, 3-D imagery. These 3-D
glasses create wild optical illusions ... for instance, players will see
asteroids shooting out of their desktops headed their way."

Stay Tooned! is expected to be available in a combined Windows (Windows 95
and Windows 3.1) and Macintosh CD-ROM by fall 1996 at most major computer
retail stores and mass merchants nationwide for approximately $40.
Three-dimensional ToonVision glasses will be included with the software.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW: THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

The action takes place in a seemingly average apartment building. Players
begin their adventure sitting in front of their television set with a
remote control in hand. As they channel surf, players can enjoy a variety
of QuickTimeTM movies, starring hilarious cartoon characters Fiddle,
Schmooze, Scoops, and Pixel and Chisel (twins who both share the middle
name "Mayhem").

Once players fall prey to their curiosity and push the red button on the
remote control, the toons take flight from their television shows,
transform the apartment building into a loony playground, and are now
"on-the-loose." Players search the five-story apartment building that
hides over 50 intriguing environments to locate the hidden keys to unlock
the apartment doors, find the missing remote control and zap the five
characters back into their cartoon world, while engaging in more than 30
games.

"Players also encounter a number of adventure game 'switches,' which
require manipulating one environment in order to affect another," says Ben
Howard, lead programmer and co-designer of Stay Tooned!.

"For example, a player may stumble across a giant cartoon doughnut, named
Duncan, blocking a doorway. The logical player will realize that a
doughnut's natural enemy would be a police officer. Calling 911 might be
the answer ... but where was that phone? The player then needs to retrace
his steps, locate the phone, call 911, and revisit Duncan only to find
crumbs in the doorway, allowing for advancement to the next challenge."

Other types of games players will encounter include "Kartoon Kombat," a
wild spoof of Mortal KombatTM; "Fridge Fight," a classic arcade-style
game; "Schlepardy!," a ludicrous trivia showdown; and "The Quick and the
Tooned," an Old West shoot-out.

Stay Tooned! also includes:

Stunning two- and three-dimensional rendered scenes and special
 effects

 50,000 frames of high-quality hand-drawn animation

A rich soundtrack of 20 hilarious, original musical numbers --
ranging in styles from rock 'n' roll to rap -- that can also be
played on an audio CD player

Randomly placed screens make each adventure gaming experience
unique and provide nearly unlimited game play

3-D Imagery

Stay Tooned! will be packaged with clear-cellophane ToonVision 3-D glasses
that allow players to view true, 3-D imagery and wild optical illusions in
five of the program's games. The ChromaDepth lenses in these glasses are
licensed from and manufactured by Chromatek Inc.

Unlike the traditional red-and-blue filters, Stay Tooned! uses a highly
sophisticated 3-D image method to allow players viewing without the
glasses to see the same images in crisp 2-D without any distortion.

Dr. Pickles, the resident mad scientist, will prompt players to "Put on
Your 3-D Glasses Now!" to play selected games such as "D-Ding Dong," a 3-D
ping pong game; "Bubble Trouble," a 3-D undersea challenge; or
"Ham-a-Roids," an intergalactic shoot'em up game. Players will also use
the glasses to view 3-D special effects.
