newly created role, Oren will lead CompuServe's technology acquisition and
accelerate the incorporation of new technologies in the company's next

vice president of finance, operations and business development for
CompuServe's Bellevue-based Internet division -- will replace Oren as vice
president and general manager of the division. Oren will be based out of
CompuServe's San Francisco office.

"Tim's new position will be one of the cornerstones of our efforts to
identify, acquire and deploy technologies developed by our business
partners and third-party vendors," said Bob Massey, CompuServe's president

board.

Prior to joining CompuServe, Oren was an eight-year Silicon Valley veteran

Research. Later he served as director of network software at Apple and
IBM's Kaleida Labs multimedia venture. He originally joined Apple to work
on its HyperCard and CD-ROM projects, and to design and manage of a number
of pioneering multimedia projects.

Oren received a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree
in systems science from Michigan State University.

As vice president and general manager of the Internet division, McCallum's
responsibilities include managing the operation and leading the strategic
direction of the division. He brings more than a decade of high-tech
industry experience to his role at CompuServe.

McCallum joined SPRY, Inc. in 1994 as CFO and took a broad business and
operational role with the Internet startup company. Following CompuServe's
acquisition of SPRY, McCallum became vice president of finance, operations
and business development for the Internet division. At the same time, he
continued to develop and lead new business and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining SPRY, McCallum was director of finance at Starwave
Corporation, a Bellevue-based multimedia and online products company.

Software's business to Western Europe and helped take the company from $6
million to $20 million in annual sales in three years.

McCallum holds a degree in business administration and accounting with a
minor in economics from Washington State University.
