MAJOR DAMAGE IS HERE TO SAVE YOUR TOWN!
WHETHER YOU WANTED HIM TO OR NOT!

E3, LOS ANGELES -- May 16, 1996 -- When Lord Fugu's minions are afoot, and
Retro City is being menaced by hordes of armed goons, there's only one man
to call... Unfortunately, he's busy, so the hapless citizens are stuck
with the over-enthusiastic ministrations of none other than Major Damage!
Answering a call to duty that wasn't even asked for, Major Damage swings
into action to the distant echo of a city's groans with the heartening
battle-cry, "So sue me!" This state-of-the-art computer-rendered
two-player action/shooter pummels his way this August for the Sega Saturn
and Sony PlayStation. Major Damage will sell at a suggested retail pace of
$64.95.

Major Damage, one of the first titles produced by Capcom Digital Studios,
Capcom's new US-based Research and Development group, is a blend of
twisted American humor and the latest in bleeding-edge graphics
technology. All the characters in the game were created on high-powered
Silicon Graphics workstations, using a combination of Alias PowerAnimator
and Wavefront, to create a rich, fully rendered 3-D environment. A hot new
piece of hardware, Digital Image Designs' Monkey (basically a cybernetic
marionette) allowed the 3-D artists to create a broad range of true 3-D
motions for each individual character sprite.

The Digital Studios art team produced a number of rendered "mini-movies"
for the introduction, cinema screens. and endings of the game. Major
Damage features digitized sound effects, character voices and original
music from veteran video game tunesmith Tommy Tallarico, the man
responsible for the background scores from games like Aladdin, Cool Spot,
and Earthworm Jim.

Major Damage is the hero of Retro City. Not only does he keep the city safe
from crime, but he incidentally keeps hundreds of construction workers
employed. The only thing Major Damage loves more than dropping a building
on an escaping criminal, is all the attention he gets from the press.

Powered by a super-secret Mega Commando serum, Major Damage has ten times
the strength, stamina, and ego of a normal man. Once a mere sidekick to
his older brother Colonel Carnage, Major Damage has become top dog since
Carnage's early retirement. Now, Lord Fugu, a crime boss the two tangled
with in the past, has reappeared with the backing of an alien armada, and
is bent to destroying the world. Now it's up the Terrible Twosome to stop
Fugu's mad plans for world domination. Think of the danger! Think of the
cool explosions! Think of all the great publicity!

Part platform adventure, part shooter frenzy. Major Damage provides
explosive amusement for one or two player simultaneous action. Not only do
Major Damage and Colonel Carnage, run, jump, duck, drive. and fire in
sixteen directions, but the Terrible Twosome can also fire into the
background, reducing cowardly enemies, malicious vehicles, and the
occasional door, window, shopfront, or building to rubble. Enemies will
sometimes attack from the background, at which point the player can turn
his back to the screen and fire at them with one of the six different
weapons the players can find and power-up. Other baddies will appear in
the background, then scale into the foreground to attack players.

Major Damage is comprised of five different worlds. with 16 levels. While
most of the stages will be platform levels with an emphasis on
destruction, there are auto-scrolling levels, where players have a chance
to leap behind the wheel of the Damagemobile or the Carnage Cruiser, and
take to the streets for some four-wheelin' devastation.
