AUTODESK TRAINING AUTHORIZED BY THE AMERCAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS

DELIVERING SUPERIOR TRAINING TO THE ARCHITECTURAL INDUSTRY

San Rafael, California - April 29, 1996 - Autodesk, the leading provider of
architectural design software worldwide*, was recently recognized by the
American Institute of Architects (AIA) for its extensive professional
education and training programs. As a result, Autodesk Training Centers
(ATCs) can now teach AIA-approved classes to its 57,000 members who must
take professional continuing education classes each year to maintain their
membership status.

AIA members must earn a minimum of thirty-six learning units (LUs) before
December 1997 and thirty six thereafter to maintain their membership
status. Now, AIA members can take classes at any of the 200 Autodesk
Training Centers throughout the U.S. and Canada. ATC courses are designed
to provide short intensive courses to fit professional schedules, and
because they are from the industry-leading design software provider, ATC
classes provide the most current information available.

"We are excited to have the market leader, Autodesk, offering high-quality
AutoCAD programs to our AIA members," said Thom Lowther, director of
Continuing Education Systems at the AIA. "Autodesk programs are an
excellent way for AIA members to meet their learning unit requirements,
while improving their architectural practice."

"This is great news for AIA members, Autodesk customers, and specialized
dealers. " said Jim Purcell, director of education at Autodesk. "AIA
members will receive outstanding training and now have more outlets in
which to do so." Purcell continues "And, ATCs are once again recognized
for their expertise in educating customers in their discipline."
