XSoft Adds NT, Windows 95 and Macintosh Platforms and Rapid Application
Development Features to InConcert Workflow Software

AIIM '96, BOOTH # 4711, Chicago, April 1, 1996 -- XSoft, the document
management arm of Xerox Corporation, today announced that it has added new
platforms, a suite of rapid application development interfaces, and
integration with Microsoft Project to its powerful InConcert workflow
software. With these enhancements, InConcert now delivers seamless
workflow management capabilities across all major industry-standard
computing systems and offers users unparalleled flexibility for developing
enterprise workflow applications.

The enhanced InConcert, due later this year, provides support for Windows
NT clients and servers, and client support for Windows 95 and Macintosh
computers. InConcert's new "componentware" suite of rapid application
development interfaces includes an OLE 2.0 Automation Server, providing
programmers with direct access to the individual components needed to
build a workflow, such as applications, task definitions, and documents.
This allows programmers to quickly prototype and deploy new workflow
applications by automating the development process and easing integration
with third-party software applications.

"This release continues our commitment to provide highly adaptive workflow
solutions and a flexible, robust development environment," said Edward
Chick, XSofts director of strategic marketing for InConcert. "The platform
enhancements build on our architectural strengths, and the new developer
tools allow customers to accelerate workflow deployment from initial pilot
to full-scale applications."

"The market demand for rapid application development tools is growing, and
XSoft is heading in the right direction by making it easier for companies
to develop solutions quickly and expand them across the enterprise," said
Carl Frappaolo, vice president of Delphi Consulting in Boston. "This is
especially critical in production workflow environments, where complex,
high-value applications typically have extensive integration
requirements."

Project Manager Integration

XSoft has also added ease-of-use enhancements to the Process Designer
client module, including integration with Microsoft Project. The Process
Designer provides a palette of intuitive, graphical mapping tools for
creating workflow applications. Workflow programmers can now export
project management data from Microsoft Project directly into the InConcert
Process Designer to automatically generate a graphical workflow map.

Users can also import InConcert data, such as real-time workflow status
information, into their Microsoft Project applications. The integrated
solution improves management efficiency and provides InConcert users with
expanded decision support capabilities. InConcert will offer support for
additional third-party project management software packages later this
year.

Aimed at document-intensive applications, InConcert enables companies to
analyze, streamline and better manage their key business processes.
InConcert improves productivity by automatically routing tasks and the
associated documents, applications and instructions needed to complete
them to the appropriate end-users. The software is designed for
flexibility and integration with industry standard databases and popular
desktop applications.

U.S. Pricing

InConcert is available through XSoft and its network of distributors, value
added resellers, and system integrators. The InConcert server carries a
list price of $14,000. The price for the basic developer's kit is $2,995.
Other developer kit options are available. InConcert end-user licenses are
available starting at $395 for Windows and $995 for UNIX, with prices
decreasing based on quantity purchased. Site licensing is also available.
