White Pine Software Licenses X Server Technology to Insignia Solutions for
NTRIGUE

OEM Deal Addresses Windows-Via-X Connectivity for the Mac

NETWORLD+INTEROP, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA (April 5, 1996) -- White Pine
Software, Inc., today at Networld+Interop announced a contract has been
signed to license its market leading X server technology, eXodus for
Macintosh, to Insignia Solutions for use with Insignia's NTRIGUE software.
NTRIGUE is a high-performance Windows NT-based application server that
delivers Windows 95, Windows 3.x and Windows NT applications to all X
terminals, UNIX workstations, and Power Macintosh and Macintosh computers
and PCs using X display software.

eXodus simplifies the running of Windows applications on Macintosh and
Power Macintosh computers. Working with Insignia, White Pine has enhanced
eXodus to provide optimum support for Macintosh-based NTRIGUE users.
eXodus can be easily configured to connect to an NTRIGUE server, and then
run sessions with one or more Windows applications appearing seamlessly on
the Mac desktop.

"Our customers are extremely excited about access to Windows applications
via X; the marriage of eXodus and NTRIGUE represents the most important
new step for Macintosh X connectivity in years," states Steve Roche,
Director of Product Marketing for White Pine Software.

NTRIGUE is the first completely open systems-based solution to support both
32-bit and 16-bit Windows applications. As soon as NTRIGUE is installed,
all enterprise desktops can access Windows 95, Windows 3.x and Windows NT
applications. NTRIGUE provides a low cost, low maintenance desktop
computing strategy to deliver consistent Windows applications to all
enterprise desktops, and acts as a management tool to enable MIS
departments to centrally manage corporate desktop applications.

"The combination of the eXodus technology and NTRIGUE will deliver all the
power of the application server to users' Macintosh and Power Macintosh
computers with one simple, optimized solution," said Dr. Robert P. Lee,
Insignia Solutions' president and CEO.
