SCREEN ACTORS GUILD - PRODUCERS PENSION AND HEALTH PLANS SELECT WANG'S
WORKFLOW SOFTWARE TO STREAMLINE PROCESSING

BILLERICA, Mass. (April 9, 1996) -- Wang (NASDAQ:WANG), a leading provider
of imaging and workflow software, announced today that, together with its
systems integration partner Omnikron Systems, Inc., it will provide a
55-seat Windows NT workflow software system and related services to the
Screen Actors Guild - Producers Pension and Health Plans. The Health Plan
services the Screen Actors Guild, one of the largest entertainment
industry unions in the world, and will use Wang's OPEN/workflow for
Microsoft Windows NT to automate its health plan claims processing
operations. The workflow software will enable the Health Plan to process
an increasing number of claims more quickly, reducing operating costs and
improving customer service to approximately 36,000 participants.

Wang and Omnikron were selected by the Health Plan to integrate an existing
VAX-based health claims processing system with Wang's OPEN/workflow
software. The new workflow system will be used for processing health plan
participants' claims and personal information, including eligibility
status. It will allow several customer service employees to view
participants' documents simultaneously. The workflow system will also
speed employees' ability to respond to customers -- previously, employees
had to manually locate or request a document from multiple sources before
responding to an inquiry.

Omnikron will also supply OCR technology to the new system to dramatically
reduce the time required by the claims adjuster to manually enter data on
member's medical claim forms. Omnikron was selected by the Health Plan for
its software integration experience in claims processing, underwriting and
financial applications.

"We see the Wang/Omnikron solution as a long-term investment in automating,
as fully as possible, our manual processes," said Don Stoller, director of
operations, Screen Actors Guild-Producers' Pension & Health Plans. "In
addition to immediate benefits such as fast turnaround time and improved
customer service, we anticipate that Wang's workflow software will also
enable us to handle higher levels of workloads without adding staff."

"For the Screen Actors Guild - Producers Pension & Health Plans, a key
concern was ensuring that the new workflow software could leverage the
current system's functionality," said Mike Epler, Omnikron's workflow and
imaging manager. "Omnikron's experts will provide the systems integration
work to allow the workflow system to continue driving the work processes
while supporting existing system features and functionality."

The Health Plan will use Wang's OPEN/workflow running on a Microsoft
Windows NT server with 55 Windows NT client workstations. A Bell & Howell
3338A scanner and HP 300ST optical jukebox will also be used in the
scanning, indexing, work introduction and routing of documents. Terminal
emulation is through WRQ's Reflection 2 software and electronic character
recognition is done via Nestor's OMNItools 2.0 product.

"Workflow software can make a critical difference in traditionally
paper-driven work processes, such as the Screen Actors Guild - Pension and
Health Plans' processing operations," said Tim Corkery, vice president,
channels business development, Wang.

"Together with Omnikron's integration expertise, Wang's workflow software
will automate the Health Plan's former manual-based system and allow its
employees to take on larger workloads, while lowering overall operating
costs."
